Gypsi Bates The less known about the plot of this film going into it, the better. In brief, Om Prakash Makhija (Shah Rukh Khan), a "junior artist" at the movie studio, is in love with top actress Shantipryia (Deepika Padukone). They both meet with an unfortunate event, and are killed. Thirty years later, Om Kapoor (Shah Rukh Khan) realizes suddenly that he is the first Om reincarnated, and sets a path to avenge the death of Shanti.Comedy and drama combine to make this an entertaining film. In addition, Om Shanti Om, makes gentle fun of itself and Bollywood movies in general, adding another level of fun. Both of Khan's performances are solid, and Padukone (in her debut role) is a confident, convincing actress. The movie is full of Bollywood big names giving special appearances and cameos --well over 50-- giving an added dimension to the movie, as the viewer tries to recognize them all. It contains impressive dance numbers, with mostly good music. Overall, while not perfect, Om Shanti Om is thoroughly enjoyable.(Other cast members include Bindu in a small role, Kirron Kher as Om Prakash Makhija's mother, Arjun Rampal as Mukesh Mehra, and Shreyas Talpade as Pappu Master.)

chiyoungt I love the concept of the film and it was the best 3 hours of my time watching this, story line is great and the characters shows most of the colors to the people watching.SRK and Deepika's acting were very good they project the character very well, Arjun's villainous acting makes me feel the characters evil personality. Others were even great including many various Bollywood celebrities appearing from the song number and the filmfare scene.Some of the actors being nominated in the movie should have been in more focus or maybe a bit more camera time such as Abhishek's grumbling or even Akshay Kumar's tantrum in a deleted scene portion. There was totally no time limit for this movie because the story line has no absolute fillers and it only shows that it was an amazing story ever told. The ending should have been extended on what happen to the both of the protagonist and sandy.This so far has been a great film to watch due to the colorful story line being involve so I must recommend this to millions of people :)

adharshedapal First of all there is many haters for this movie But i loved the movie It have good songs and have an excellent story bi Farah khan.The movie shows the pain and returns of Love.Om Prakash Makheeja the early 70's junior loves the super star and dream girl Shanti Priya,After that he realizes the truth and he so only get murdered.The climax was good and we will love it.End credits was also a different one.The movies plot was written by Farah khan which we early seen as the choreographer.But in the movie we see her as a director.Movie is such as a fantasy story.But she can make it as a awesome colorful,musical,romantic movie every one will love to watch this movie
