A brilliant film that helped define a genre
Neive Bellamy
Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

Honestly I don't know where to even start....This is your typical "the world is going to end" type of movie. Horrible acting with a combination of random characters useless to the storyline. I am currently reflecting on the endless possibilities of how I could have used this last hour and a half more productively. My windows 98 has best graphics then this catastrophe. Good luck trying to figure out wtf is going on in the movie. Story plot had potential, then the movie started. Cheers.

The genius of the director and producers of this movie is witnessed right here right now... because this is the first fully immersive 4th dimension film! An advancement of movie-watching sensory bliss is happening.
The film alone is a mere muse upon the human condition, however once it is combined with reading all of these reviews, as the projectors roll before you, is to achieve a higher state of consciousness to silverscreen entertainment.
I defy anyone to watch this movie whilst reading these reviews and not be in fits of hysterics...

If there was an award for worst CGI in a movie this one would have won. They even worse than NASA and that is saying something. Every aspect of this movie is weak. Wasted data gigs downloading this one. What a waste of time. B grade? No, its a D grade. Absolutely awful.

If the magnetosphere of earth actually disappeared, the atmosphere would very slowly be skimmed off at 100km and above. To cause the ozone to disappear, the process would take millions of years. The ionosphere of the earth might also possibly produce a weak magnetic field as it interacts with the solar wind from the sun, providing yet further protection against a leaking atmosphere. There would be no earthquakes, sudden sun burns or melting of the caps!Given we have at least a million years to work our how to fix the lack of magnetic field, it's pretty safe to say we would all survive. If the magnetic field flipped polarity, it wouldn't even be a problem.
