Platicsco Good story, Not enough for a whole film
Humaira Grant It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Brenda The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
cccjerkycompany Don't you hate it when you want to go on an adventure with you really good male friend and your celebrity gets in the way? All that camera, bike riding, marshal arts, life saving training almost seems unimportant considering that everyone knew they were coming. Don't break your free gear! Oh bother (I'm trying to speak British), I have to stay at someone's house instead of (fake)camping. Woe is me (on a roll), the police are escorting us through this town and traffic... I just want to have a peaceful, zen-like experience and do it like a big boy!I won't go on but I hope some of you get the gist. Oh, one spoiler alert - Ewan is so brave he shows his pimple on camera. What a real guy!
marianne-kelliher This series is great. My husband and I drove from DC to Patagonia over the course of 8 months and we watch both of these series (Long Way Round and Long Way Down - the Africa journey) to relive some of the feelings we experienced during the trip. Ewan and Charley have great chemistry, and are surprisingly good natured during all of the trials and tribulations of mud, sand and river crossings. This series explores more deserted terrain than the Long Way Down - not many encounters with people or animals, and for that reason it's a much more touching, soul searching journey. Highly recommended for anyone that loves adventure and travel.P.S. Ewan - my husband is an audio engineer and would love to remaster these DVDs! Only drawback was the audio mix needs some work ;)
davegering A staged travelogue with, and about, two overgrown adolescents supposedly riding motorcycles from London to New York. This series goes to show two men can do anything, as long as they have sponsors to donate tens of thousands of dollars worth of equipment including new BMW bikes, trainers and advisers, a staff of numerous people to do the dirty work of getting visas and making arrangements, and several "support vehicles" to bail them out of any real difficulties. This was billed as a road trip, but in the end, it winds up being little more than an ego trip.As entertainment, the series is padded with irrelevant footage, presumably because they had to guarantee a certain run-time minimum to get the project sponsored.Rather than waste your time on this, take your own bike out for a spin.
Vladimir Bg When I've seen it first on Viasat Explorer, I was stunned!!!! The great show especially the moments at Russia and Mongolia where the crew meet most of the difficulties on the long way round. Warm and sensitive, the show here touches you even if you are not a bike person.(And now I replay the tape over and over again!) I was crying in tears watching most of the episodes 'cause this show is not like any other show, this is the real thing! Emotions, drama, excitement, homesickness,... from the bottom of their hearts. If you haven't seen this series.... YOU JUST HAVE TO! (sorry for my poor English,..... and all the best to all the crew of the Long Way Round !!!! especially Ewan, Charlie and Claudio )
