Sexyloutak Absolutely the worst movie.
Invaderbank The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
Allison Davies The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Michael_Elliott Ittle Big League (1994) *** (out of 4)The owner of the Minnesota Twins dies suddenly and decides to leave the team to his grandson Billy (Luke Edwards). Billy soon realizes that the players can't stand their mean manager so Billy takes that over as well and tries to lead the team to a championship. The early 90s delivered several different baseball movies aimed at children and LITTLE BIG LEAGUE is one that actually plays out pretty good. As with another film from this period, BLANK CHECK, this film basically tries to appeal to the kid's fantasy of being put in charge of something normally left to adults. Whereas BLANK CHECK was a pretty bland film, this one here turns into a funny comedy. There are some pretty funny moments throughout the film but there's no question that a lot of credit has to go to Edwards who turns in a very good performances as the child who finds himself in control of a professional team. The child in the film has a lot to deal with and I thought Edwards was very believable in the role and managed to make you believe the situation.
skelly-26 Luke Edwards is incredible as Billy Heywood. I cannot believe how many people don't know about this movie. It has a bit of everything and has some big laughs as well as a very touching and a story the general audience can relate to. You don't have to be into baseball to like the movie! Bowers is hilarious as the relief pitcher and the road trip sequence in the hotel is also unreal. I loved the riddle in the movie too, "A cowboy rides into town on Friday, leaves three days later on Friday, how did he do it?" If you haven't seen this movie do so. If you love baseball this is an absolute must...(you can stop reading now the rest is filler to get to 10 lines) It's also cool how the first basemen is from Field of Dreams, a good movie but not half as good as this one. Rookie of the year was alright, and the Sandlot is another classic of our time. We have not had a really great baseball movie in a long time...
grandma-1 I have probably seen this movie 10 times and I still enjoy it as much as the first time.I laughed and smiled all the way through. It was a great family movie. The trick they played on Ken Griffey Jr was priceless. For anyone who hasn`t seen this movie I highly recommend it.
mattkratz A charming fantasy/comedy,etc. about a junior high school kid who inherits the Minnesota Twins from his late grandfather and soon takes over as manager. He then convinces his players to have fun. After all, they are getting paid to play baseball.I think it works well on all counts. Watch for cameos by real life Major Leaguers. Sit back and enjoy!!*** out of ****
