InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Mathilde the Guild Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Paul Magne Haakonsen I was initially so thrilled when I saw the trailer to "Killing Gunther", especially because the trailed was so intense and rather impressive. And while the movie does start out quite nicely, but it loses momentum around midways, and then it just never got back up in gear.I had expected more comedy and funny situations throughout the movie, but it just really wasn't there. The movie had an impressive and interesting cast, and people were indeed doing good jobs with their given roles. But for an action comedy, then "Killing Gunther" just didn't pack enough of a punch to stand out. And it is sadly turns out to be the type of movie that you watch once and never again.
RoboRabbit89 Arnold is Gunther the unstoppable hit-man in "Killing Gunther".I'll be honest here, this is not a great film it is very flawed. But Arnold is clearly the best thing out of it.The story, a group of assassins try multiple times to try and kill Gunther (for some reason they have to kill him I guess to be considered the best in the business, however this is a weak idea because there is really no story reason), and failing hilariously at it.I did kinda dose off a bit on it just for a minute not because it was boring but I was tired, however I do think the beginning of the film is I bit slow but around an hour Arnold shows up and the movie starts to get much better and funnier too. In the future I think I will see this again, some my not like this film but I think you have to go into it not expecting it to be great, like, keep your expectations low about it and I think you can enjoy it for what it is.Overall an OK film that is not the greatest but when Arnold shows up the movie gets better. I give it a 3/10. Remember keep your expectations low and I think it will be OK to watch.
ds0037 ... if it was: 1. Belgian 2. Black and white 3. Had no big stars 4. Was about a psycho that randomly kills people 5. Was called Man Bites DogPoor remake of a cult classic.
hackraytex It is easy to explain why Arnold was in this movie, he is one of the producers so he had his money tied up in it. I certainly hope he get his money back. I can understand why he is producing more of his movies and this movie does let Arnold stretch his acting muscles. He has got a lot of miles left in him but I he realizes that he has to ease up on the kick ass roles since he will be 70 this year. That is hard to believe and I hope he paces himself since he does not have to prove anything to his dedicated fan, of which I am one. The movie held my interest and I was looking for Arnold to show up and he did and he delivered. I don't want to take away from this project but I say a number of similarities to The Lady Killers (2004) with Tom Hanks. It is worth at least one look see.
