Linbeymusol Wonderful character development!
Platicsco Good story, Not enough for a whole film
Freeman This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
bjon1452 To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Why is it that modern horror films are merely "narratives" that end, leaving you with virtually nothing? This one is right there with the above. It could have been good. The suspense keeps you interested, but nothing happens. No explanations, nothing. Are we introduced to madness, domestic abuse, vivid imagination, nightmares or was I dreaming? Believe me, it could have been that I fell asleep and participated in my own convoluted dream myself. But I'd be accused of inciting boredom if I related any of this stuff to anybody else. Oh, and who would want to start all over in a house with no electricity, phone, and maybe no bathroom; we don't know. And what really lurks behind the blue door? You'll have to supply that too. Don't bother with this one. You'll get angry.
demonicsorrowwolfe I am having a hard time finishing this movie, it isn't even the lack of any scares that is stopping me. The main character Maggie is unbearable. I have never seen a woman so obnoxious in my life, that they moment her voice opens I want to tape it shut. She is nothing but a venomous woman, who gets mad at her husband for no reason. I get that she is emotional and slowly going crazy from the house, but that doesn't give her the right to get all mad when she is backhanded. It was self defense with the way she was running at Chris. She slaps him when he confessed he told the real estate guy about her miscarriage...Really? He was trying to be considerate since he knew it bothered her. She is always angry, even to the next door neighbor. It is so annoying, a character should not be this bad that it makes the movie practically unwatchable.I'm also tired of her always needing to say mean stuff too, she is like the stereotypical woman. If I was a man, and this woman's husband I would have left her...But that is beside the point. This movie could have been better had the not made the main chick on almost every frame so annoying.
Sasha E I've just watched this movie over maxdome (kinda German netflix). The summary got me curious and I was really ready for some shocking scenes. The movie drags out so long.. storytelling in good night tales style.. hard to stay focused and keep watching. I was really hoping that something dramatic and gory would happen; at least at the end....After the credits ran thru I couldn't help myself asking: What the hell did I just see.. Honestly I'm no dumb person... but I don't get the ending.. what is this movie telling the viewers.I gave it 6 of 10 cause it kept me entertaining, but only 6 cause of the lack of a real ending.. this left me knowing as much as I knew before I watched it. If you have the chance to see it somewhere for free.. and if you haven't got anything better to do with your time.. watch it.. just don't expect suspense, tension, gore or a great finale..
jasonjason78 One of the things that struck me most about seeing this film was the storyline. It has a number of unique twists and turns that really keep the viewer engaged throughout, something that is often lacking in films of this genre. Rachel Marie Lewis and Christian Oliver, both very talented in their own right, were the perfect choice for the film's lead roles and both carried out their performances so well. It was a real treat to see Marietta Marich be part of this film, as I remember her so well from her role in Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The rural setting for the film was so picturesque and really added to the viewer experience. I'm really looking forward to getting the opportunity to see this again on the big screen and would encourage any other fans of this genre to check it out!
