Reviews

MoPoshy Absolutely brilliant
Aiden Melton The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Lachlan Coulson This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.
Jeffrey Burton This movie starts like hellfire and then goes straight off the rails. There's a cool opening sequence with some nice Steadicam work, followed by a real nice title sequence that prepares you for a 60's style, B movie, 'Macon County Line' sort of romp. Then it all goes straight down hill. The makeup is amateurish and the plot gets more ridiculous as the movie goes on. The direction gets very bad and doesn't make much sense visually or otherwise. The acting is serviceable except for the main 'bad guy' who mugs it up to such an annoying extent, he takes you out of the movie. It's really odd because it's Kevin Corrigan. He's a veteran actor who appears to be a Scorsese favorite. Speaking of directing, after the first 10 minutes IT SUCKS. It's almost as if someone was hired to do the movie, found out they weren't going to get paid and someone brought in this Enda person with no movie credits to finish the film. All the favorable reviews date back from the release and I'm sure they were done by cast and crew or paid for. Don't make the same mistake I did. I kept watching it to see if it got better. It doesn't.
eric-frisco Mgm's hit and run has some wild scenes and some more silly scenes. The garage scene where she clubs him on the fender was wacky. The part where he's stalking her in the house creeped me out. but the best when he ties her up with party lights on the car for the ride from hell. too bad it's in the last hour, i'd have loved to see more of that stuff. the parts that were not so hot were all the split screen action when they talk on the phone, just seemed a wee bit blah. i particularly liked when the teacher kills the big talking boyfriend Ricky who i wanted to strangle myself. also when he kills the wife, I was shocked and did not expect. if the mid 20 or 30 minutes was less dream-like, i think i would have liked this even more. also by the end, I wasn't sure who got beat up more, the bad guy or the jeep!
sleepyduke Film is a study in what goes wrong when you make one wrong decision after another. It's a like a nightmare that snowball out of control. like some kind of train wreck in slow motion.Hot Mary swigs a few too many at spring vacation blast. She gets out of the slimy hand of her dude, who can't keep his lips to himself. Mary don't listen to common sense and drive home stinkin' drunk. She accidentally kills maniac teacher off his meds on her bumper. He don't come off that bumper easy, he's like impaled on that thing.Tell the police, right? Nope. She hides the body and of course everything goes wrong. Because he wasn't totally dead, and he's mad as hell to kick her butt. Bad influence boyfriend trying to get into Mary's pants, even while she's figuring out what to do about the supposedly dead guy. To sum it, Mary gets attacked at home and taken for a real nasty ride, The end.
georgekinderling *spoilers* When Mary buried him it looked like Emser was dead. She did whack him like 5 times with the golf club in the head and he was already close to dying on the front of the car anyways. But she didn't take his pulse or anything like that after. So I was not totally sure if he was really dead, or just like in a coma or passed out. When he comes back from the woods he looks like more than just a guy who was buried alive. He looks like a zombie or the living dead. I'm thinking he was pumped up on adrenaline or he was superhuman because he was like nearly indestructible. I'm not sure if he's really dead at the end or not. It was way better than I expected and actually had a good horror action sequence packed in there, but I wish it was more clear if he was actually dead or just totally bashed up.
