MusicChat It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.
Philippa All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
TransAtlantyk This is one of the best children's Halloween specials you could hope to watch. It is somewhat obscure and often forgotten about but it deserves all the recognition that the famous Christmas specials get. The dead leaves and dark night set the autumn mood while Garfield and Odie go out candy collecting but get into a spooky adventure along the way. I won't spoil the show but it involves a haunted house, classic Halloween fare all around. There are a few memorable songs, good animation, classic Garfield humor, and a nice spooky Halloween setting. This is a perfect choice to show to children around October, it might even become a yearly tradition.
sketchyninja One of my absolute favorite holiday specials. This is Garfield at his prime time best with music and songs, plot, jokes and general good natured sarcasm. The whole episode is quotable and you will find yourself singing the songs, I even find myself singing the song "What should I be" every Halloween or if I am making up a character in a video game. I also has some spookiness to it which every Halloween special should have , even if for kids. The voice actors do very well in their parts from Garfield and the gang to Binky and the old man (ooh shudder). If you've put off watching this episode for some reason, quit being a "scaredy cat" and go and watch this. Recommended for Garfield fans of all ages.
Xander Seavy (RiffRaffMcKinley) This has to be one of my favorite TV specials of all time. And no wonder. It has Garfield, the world's greatest cat, in a story about Halloween-- the best and most fascinating holiday the world has to offer. In this story, he and Odie go trick-or-treating at the wrong door... on the eve of a supernatural visitation from vengeful pirates! The songs are great, and I can't pick favorites because they're all equally phenomenal. The humor is still there, and the crew balances it well with the eeriness.Ladies and gentlemen, this is the one that should be shown every October on every network in the known universe. It's not Halloween if you haven't watched "Garfield in Disguise," also 'disguised' as "Garfield's Halloween Adventure." A seasonal must and a classic for all time.
Rynaldo J "Garfield's Halloween Adventure" is a great show for young children to watch any time of the year. It is just the right length in time and the funny dialogue of Garfield is enough to keep children entertained. The story at the start shows Garfield's lack of morals through his desire for Halloween candy, but as the story progresses, so does he.Since this is a somewhat old children's show (this show was made in 1985), one or two random parts may be viewed as too scary, but it's all part of the fun. I personally first saw this show over twelve years ago, but I can watch it over and over again even today, without fast forwarding any of it, which is hard to say for anything I watch multiple times. Overall, this is a great show and I recommend it to everyone who loves Garfield, Halloween or candy.
