Solemplex To me, this movie is perfection.
Invaderbank The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
Fatma Suarez The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
alikhan-23790 This is one of my best seen action films in bollywood till date. From beginning to ending it's gone through as an actionable thriller along with love story very smartly. Beneath the whole movie, salman's performance as a spy could be acceptable. Apart from this point, actions sequences from him really come out stunningly and surprisingly. And his love interest, katrina kaif who's also a spy has given her best in both lovable scenes and action scenes which will undoubtedly make you to be excited. According to me this movie is a great recipe which has tasty ingredients such as action, thriller and love altogether perfectly. All action lovers should not miss this film for any reason which is not only for sallu bhai and kaif but also for this amazing scripted film.Plus points : Action sequences.Performance of lead roles.Amazing climax.Lovable songs and so on.Minus points : Movie could have been even lengthier. Don't miss this wonderful entertainment!!!!!!!!!!
Prashast Singh There are many spy thriller films which have been successful in entertaining the audiences, but Ek Tha tiger proves to be the worst film of all time largely because of a single reason: it doesn't stay true to the genre expected & due to that, it can be said that the promos are deceptive.First, I thought that it would be an entertaining movie, but it was only after watching the film that I realized that for the very first time, in case of an ACTION movie, I was wrong. The film would have been entertaining if there was something more like action. There is overdose of romantic and dramatic scenes which draws us towards tedium. The songs are good, but Due to their poor placement ,they do not look entertaining at all. Performances have been the worst on the part of each and every actor. The action scenes are just OK, but that is not enough. Something is missing. The film wasn't supposed to be a romantic drama but an action thriller. On the whole, Ek Tha tiger fails as a film.It is a big, big, big disappointment. Watch it if you want to be disappointed.
Nesrine Ghajati I like Bollywood movies...I kinda like Khatrina..but Salman..why is the guy even still making movies? the dancing was bad..the plot bad..the acting bad...come on they are supposed to be special agents for god's sake..apart from a little action..no character or behavior of a spies!anyhow..I just finished in the breaks I took from studying..which I never do to a movie!Salman looks tired all the time.. Apart from one song ..I could not understand why some songs even were there..The movie could have been longer.. That wouldn't have bothered me ..And the issue India/Pakistan ..come on..if you have to chew that chow that shoo some more..do it with style!
Sherazade Where do I begin with 'Ek Tha Tiger' I guess I should say with blockbuster type films, acting is really not required as the special effects, action sequences, loud music and flashy wardrobe and props become the stars of the show and therefore are at the forefront and what the audiences are treated to. Sure there are those who would come for the superstar cast but action movie-buffs are usually viewing for the former rather than the latter. That said, 'Ek Tha Tiger' or ETT as it is known to fans around the world is not entirely bad acting wrapped in explosive special effects and action sequences, it does have its moments of drama and suspense and by the time its elaborate plot starts to unravel, you will either have made the commitment to keep watching or have given up completely as you do have to suspend your disbelief quite a lot for this film. Tiger (played by Salman Khan) is a secret agent for India's intelligence bureau and lives for his job which he is good at as evident in the nearly thirty minute long opening sequence in which he is double-crossed and cornered by half a dozen men yet manages to beat them all up and escape with hardly a scratch on him. That encounter took place somewhere in Morocco, it has been used as the venue for many action scenes in Hollywood films as well. Afterwards, Tiger returns to India where he is sent on a new mission to Ireland to keep track of a professor whom the bureau believes in leaking sensitive information to Pakistan. Upon Tiger's arrival, he scopes out the professor and finds it hard to believe that such man who is so engrossed in his duties at the university could be spy. Nevertheless, he proceeds on his mission to keep track of the man. One day, while he's watching the professor, he notices movement in the professor's home after the professor has left to walk his dog and sneaks in to investigate, inside he finds a woman dancing around as she cleans the home, feeling that she is being watched she turns around and it's Katrina Kaif (yup bad acting in something even as simple as turning around and looking surprised) and Tiger is immediately smitten. He devises a plan to get to know her by pretending he doesn't have a place to stay and she offers him room and board and sooner rather than later they begin dating. Tiger continues to receive his Intel via his assistant played by Ranvir Shorey and the relationship between Zoya (Kaif's character) and Tiger blossoms until one night when Tiger receives a phone call and is told that a transmission is being sent from the professor's home while Tiger and the professor are out watching a play together. Tiger races to the intercept the transmission and catches the culprit in the act, with his gun trained on the culprit he asks the person to turn around with their hands up. What happens next and the result of that makes up the rest of the film. Hey! Wait didn't that happen to James Bond in Casino Royal? Aryan "Mr A" in Dhoom 2? Shekhar Verma in Khakee? You know what, I could go on and on with this. I rate it 4/10. The music was good though, especially the song that played when the lovers were in Havana, Cuba.
