GamerTab That was an excellent one.
MoPoshy Absolutely brilliant
SanEat A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."
DareDevilKid Reviewed by: Dare Devil Kid (DDK)Rating: 3/5 starsEk Paheli Leela is exactly what it set out to be, and for that reason alone it's entertaining and worth watching, because it serves its purpose. Yes, the plot is nothing out of the ordinary, but it was never meant to be to begin with, and more importantly, Director Bobby Khan does a good job of presenting the story in a linear, uncomplicated, easy-to-follow manner. It is a reincarnation tale about the love between Leela and her beloved, which was left incomplete because they were murdered by someone who craved Leela's affection and body for himself. The story comes full circle after 300 long years, when Leela has taken birth again as Meera and her lover's character is also reborn.Sunny Leone's sensuousness has been put to full use, and she's made to strut her curvaceous form and oodles of oomph in bikinis, lingerie, scanty garbs, and sporadic sex scenes for the most part of the film's runtime. However, somewhere in-between there's also a decent thriller that not only fairly engages you but also ensures that Leone isn't the only object of your attention. Kudos to the Director and Producer for not fixating on Leone's sex appeal alone, and blending it cleverly within the storyline. Actually, the two factors feed off each other, for without the lead star's (And let's face it – Sunny Leone is the lead star here and not any of her male counterparts, since she's the one who'll put bums into the cinema hall seats, and from the reports coming in, has already achieved her purpose. Going by her recent track record for these low-budget, soft-core thrillers, it's safe to say that Leone is now a bona-fide, B- movie, Bollywood star.) effortless charisma, "Ek Paheli Leela" would have ended up as just another mundane, forgettable thriller, and without the film's serviceable plot elements and the maker's gumption to dish out a decent film to go along with the "sex" factor, it would have conversely landed flat on its face as a mediocre thriller solely meant to titillate. The acting was never going to be noteworthy, but some of the cast members do end up delivering convincing performances, most notable Jay Bhanushali, Jas Arora , and Rajneesh Duggal. Sunny Leone wasn't cast for her acting skills, but I'd have to say that her faculties have improved quite significantly from her last outing. Shivani Tanksale, without having much to do is still passable while Mohit Ahlawat is as wooden as ever, and VJ Andy is as annoying as ever. The former needs to quit movies for good while the later needs to stop venturing further into movies before someone decides to physically harm him.So, if you don't expect too much out of the film (and frankly, you'd be quite inane to go in with high expectations), and enjoy it for its tangy little twists and soft-core elements, you'll actually come away being pleasantly surprised.
hur706 Great casting, good acting but a disappointing climax. It is not the regular Indian Mirchi masala commercial film. The plot is good, but falls a little short towards the ending. Nonetheless, marks the beginning of Sunny Leone's journey to Bollywood stardom, a win-win for Bhushan Kumar. Oh and the songs are just superb, Meet Bros do it yet again! Jay Bhanushali did fair to his character, Mohit Ahlawat and Jas Arora were terrific as Rajput princes. The vividness and mood has been beautifully captured. The movie is but a thrilling ride thanks to the writers and Sunny Leone for working so hard to portray the role of Leela in flashbacks. The Rajasthani accent she picked is absolutely spot on. 6/10 for me.
yashrajs536 The film was not bad it is a one time watch but it cannot bore u as it is a fast paced movie and the sunny was good at her place the other supporting cast were good not great. And Jay bhanushali he deserves the role of Bhairav he acted quite good but the main attraction was obviously "Sunny Leone" and the songs were well made.Overall I would say it's a popcorn one time watchable and Forgettable movie but still keeps you as a Leone fan and I am waiting for her next release "Kuch Kuch Locha Hai" for which I am more excited than this. But it was a good attempt for a sunny leones type movie it was good not great and a one time watch.
