UnowPriceless hyped garbage
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Kinley This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
SnoopyStyle This film is a companion to the BBC TV series Planet Earth. This starts with the polar bears in the North. Spring approaches and the movie moves south with life returning. As the seasons advance, the movie goes further south.Like its TV companion Planet Earth, the cinematography is magnificent. The wildlife and the epic landscape have to be seen. It cannot be described in words. The blue water is so blue. The green leaves are so green. The battle for life is more intense than any work of fiction. The chases are more thrilling than most CGI car chases. Some of my earliest movie memories are National Geographic nature films and I hope some youngsters will have this movie in their memory banks.
federico-robello A nice documentary on Earth.Narration is good and the story goes on well following the migration of different species. The images are absolutely astonishing and accurate. Under sea images are most probably the best part of the movie but also the aerial ones taken in Africa are gorgeous. The story teller is also adapt to the images and fluently guides the spectators throughout the different scenes.Stay till the end to watch some behind the scene of the documentary that explain the difficulties of the different operators in capturing such incredible images.
saad hayat The portrayal of nature was amazing, because its clips are taken from the wonderful 'Planet Earth'. It seemed not only the feature film version, but also a more global warming and conservation adjusted version. However, the storytelling seemed a bit loose and the transitions from story to story were a bit clumsy. The narration was a bit let down at first but as I kept watching it became difficult to take. It was so dull. I watched the US version/narration. At some places, it was difficult to understand the wording of the narrator, where I had to rewind and listen to it again to get a better hearing. I'm not complaining about David Attenborough not narrating, it's just that this narrator does a brilliant job at turning this visual masterpiece into a drab and unclear audio experience. Since, in this documentary the narration was absolutely essential to get the information through, this vague narration scored really poorly, in my opinion.
Andreas Kitzing I saw the German version of the movie in German television and I was really amazed. I generally like to see documentaries, but I can't remember to have seen one that is better than 'Earth'. I knew some of the scenes from Youtube videos that I found by random browsing. I also remember to have seen parts of the film on multimedia stores, running on the displayed high definition TVs. After seeing the movie it's obvious to me why the footage is so popular among Youtube users and multimedia retail managers: It's just so awesome and spectacular that you can't help but stare on the screen, no matter if you're generally interested in nature documentaries or not.Without hesitating a 10 out of 10. For sure, there are more thrilling movies, but in regard of documentaries, 'Earth' is definitely one of the best of it's genre.
