Marketic It's no definitive masterpiece but it's damn close.
Merolliv I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.
Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
DCfan To be honest this movie is not really anything close to the books but it is good for what it was plus it's just a completely different story all together. The plot was good but not as good or memorable as the previous movie, it looks like Greg is still trying to impress Holly and if read my previous review I mentioned I had a crush on her and I still did in this. But I wasn't too happy about how the character of Heather Hills was wrote compared to how she was wrote in the books (Greg's crush and she was nice to her sister) but in the movie she is Rodricks crush and she was mean to her sister. I am just glad that in this movie unlike the book Holly and Greg become a couple. It is a rare case of scenario I would prefer the movie to the book but in this case I do.I haven't seen The Long Haul yet but once when I have read the book I will check it out and review it. I hope it's good. Overall if you liked the original movies you will enjoy this :)
michaelhirakida Finally! The last film. The last in a trilogy of Terror. Diary of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days takes The Last Straw and Dog Days and puts it together. I have read through the books mildly but I must say Im not a big fan of them. But you want me to get into the bad stuff like Steve Zahn's performance and the Offensive stuff right? OK. Lets get into it.It starts off the same way as every other one. With cartoons becoming human. It was cool at first but then it lost its touch. The film is about Greg (AKA Zachary Gorden who has hit puberty) losing his video game privileges to his dumb overacting insane dad. His mom tells dad to GO AND FRIGGN BOND WITH HIM! So he does. Things do not go well. Greg lies about getting a job. Insane dad finds out. OH NO CONFLICT! They go camping. They bond more and learn some important lessons. In the end they eat pizza. The end.Thats a sum up of the whole entire story. Why was this even made? The parents still have to suffer through the same thing although they tone down the bullying to a minimum. The movie is severely unfunny. It has predictable gags and creepy scenes that don't fit in with a kids film.I think some of this film including the others were shot here in BC. But I don't really care if Gorden and Capron go on the spinning thing of death where for the story they make up stuff about people dying on it.This is another horrible movie that has no improvement over the last one. It is really awful.15/100 D-
Catherine_Grace_Zeh Even though I haven't read the novel, DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: RODRICK RULES, in my opinion, is an excellent big-screen adaptation of a Jeff Kinney bestseller. If you ask me, Patty (Laine MacNeil) was a totally b****y ice queen. I think that for many reasons. In my opinion, one of the most hilarious parts of this movie was when Greg (Zachary Gordon) went off the high diving board at the country club swimming pool. If you want to know why, you'll have to see the movie. Also, I thought that the camping trip scene was absolutely hilarious. In conclusion, if you enjoyed the novel or are a fan of anyone in the cast, check this movie out today. You'll be glad you did
KineticSeoul I don't know but I felt this one is the worst one out of the three but it's watchable. Watching this movie is like watching some crazy families trying to act normal. And that is where most of the humor comes from, watching crazy people trying to act normal. This time around it's the story centers around trust values and admitting to mistakes instead of running away from it. And it goes in a decent direction where the whole family can watch and be safe with and also get a few chuckles out of. It's basically a really kid friendly movie. Almost like those teenage Disney kids shows. Except it's in movie form. The movie however didn't seem all well put together although it does have moments where kids can get some laughs out of. It's a decent family movie but just watching as an adult, it can be below mediocre.5/10
