Perry Kate Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
Lucybespro It is a performances centric movie
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Invaderbank The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
Uriah43 This movie takes up where its predecessor left off with a mob hit-man named "Chev Chelios" (Jason Statham) falling from a helicopter at a high altitude and crashing onto a street somewhere in Los Angeles. Then, seconds after hitting the ground, a van pulls up and quickly puts his body inside before driving off. He soon wakes up to find that his heart has been replaced with an electrical device and that the rest of his organs are about to be harvested as well. Naturally, he doesn't quite like that idea and escapes to find the man responsible--and possibly regain his own heart in the process. Now as far as this movie is concerned I must confess that I wasn't particularly impressed with its predecessor which I believed had a great deal of unrealized potential. Because of that I rated it as about average. This movie, however, also had some of the same characteristics of the first but unfortunately it was the bad similarities that predominated. To be more specific, anything other than profanity and mindless action was essentially thrown out the window to make room for more profanity and action. In short, other than possibly the performance of Bai Ling (as a prostitute named "Ria") there really wasn't anything interesting about this film. And even then she was just as foul-mouthed as everybody else. Regardless, I thought that this movie was pretty bad and I have rated it accordingly.
Quentin Tarantino Jason Statham does a really good job as Chev Chelios in Crank. One of my favorite films of the 2000's. Because Chev Chelios always needs adrenaline he does the craziest stuff (kind of GTA in real life) and our beloved Jason plays this role just fantastic. I've seen a lot of his movies and this flick is different. It's not just that he is a cop or a guy who kills cops like in many other films. Even though the style is very special, I loved it. For me it's one of these films you can watch anytime and it's still good. This is exactly a role for Statham, they chose right. When you watch this film, you'll be full with adrenaline. For this flick: 8 out of 10 stars. I'm waiting for Crank 3 ;)
yashrajs536 I liked it!!! It was good and as funny as the first one was and again our hero is fighting for his Survival but this time his heart is stolen?!!!! OMG!!! The film has again got its original directors "Neveldine/Taylor" and they had proved themselves again!!!The Comedy was good, the action was good, acting was good and overall it was a fun movie.Statham reprises his "Chev Chelios" role very well and Amy Smart again Suits fully as a Co-star to Statham. The other supporting cast was also good."The film follows the story after Chev was fallen from the helicopter to the road and strange things happen to him again after his heart was stolen and is replaced by Battery now he must save him by getting his heart back."The story went on to a next level in this one and I liked it and recently Statham confirmed the "sequel is in progress" definitely watch this one also.
bowmanblue One day all films will be made like this. Crank 2 is the imaginatively-titled sequel to Crank, following the exploits of seemingly-indestructible hit-man, Chev Chelios, as he runs around L.A. murdering every hood and henchman he comes across (and he comes across quite a few).I loved this film. It's completely stupid. But, at least it knows it is. If you ever saw Clive Owen in 'Shoot 'em Up' and thought that was ridiculously over the top, well... you haven't seen anything compared to a Crank film.Jason Statham, as Chelious, has had his heart removed (just after he fell out of a helicopter over Los Angeles) and it's been replaced by an artificial one which needs charging every ten minutes or so. Therefore, as he runs around killing one thug after the next, he has to come up with all sorts of ingenious ways of recharging himself, such as placing his hands on high voltage cables and tazering himself. That is just a taste of the silliness you will expect during Crank 2. If you think that sounds daft, steer well clear - that's just the tip of the iceberg.Like I say, Crank 2 knows it's stupid and goes to great lengths to prove it to you. If you're unable to suspend your disbelief, then don't even bother watching this. I have read many a review referring to it as 'utter rubbish.' And, they're right - it is rubbish, but it's not trying to be anything else. It's grotesque, offensive, wall-to-wall daft, senseless rubbish and violence. And it's great.Sense of humour a must when choosing to watch this.Bring on Crank 3.
