PranPriye I guess, I am in a very small minority here who really disliked this movie. It was a pain to sit through this looong movie. The four stars are only for the waterfall and statue scenes. As far as acting is concerned, Katappa and the grandmother of Baahubali were the ones who were okay. The heroine was average, too. Totally inspired from Mahabharat. I would rather watch B.R. Chopra's Mahabharat T.V. series than this irritating 'opus'.

I am my own critic Good films like FAN, Raees, Don2, My Name Is Khan, CDI, Swades, ASOKA, Dilse, Hey Ram, Anjaam, Phir bhi dil hai hindustani not making any records. Instead of grieving for that, hypocritical Indians celebrate overrated Bahubali2, Pk,Dangal. The first part was really great. It deserves mention and all the praise it got. Bahubali 2 is regressive chutiya south Indian masala bullshit and you bastard call that a success? And if you didn't realize, the plot is ripped off, copied from a Bollywood historical fiction film ASOKA, Jodha Akbar, Krrish.HERE'S HOW: * prince goes undercover(Asoka, Jodha Akbar) *He meets a buffoon character( Virat in Asoka played by Danny) *The buffoon character becomes loyal to the prince *The prince hides his true identity *The prince does not want princess of local kingdom to know about his superpowers(Krrish) *The waterfall CGI in the first part is equivalent to the natural waterfall in Asoka. *The prince saves princess from local gundaas. (kalaripayatu(Indian martial art form) in Asoka) *We see a dream sequence where prince dreams about a fantasy with the princess(Raat ka Nashaa from Asoka) *prince helps the local people *prince's buffoon turned loyal character kills prince's brother(tries to kill in Bahubali2) *Warring brothers for the throne *Attempts to kill the prince by the warring brother(Ajith Kumar in Asoka) *Final war where prince destroys everything-Except that the visuals in Santosh Sivan's picture are totally original and natural while for Bahubali's visuals, we have seen all that in Zack Synder's films like 300, Watchmen, Man Of Steel, Batman Vs Superman and also LOTR, Game of Thrones, Antman.-What happened to strong woman Avantika from the first part? No dialogues or involvement in story? Seriously? Is that a joke? Was she there for Bahubali to lose his virginity? Kaurwaki is a better and stronger female character in Indian cinema.-What's with the constipated faces in the first half by Bahubali, Katappa and that buffoon guy?-Whats with the naval groping and hypocrisy regarding touching women against their wishes? Bahubali does it, its love, others do it, its lust. Nice logic.-ASOKA and Jodha Akbar and Krrish have better picturised songs than the Disney cartoon in Bahubali 2.The movie is a overblown, overrated, over-hyped loud mess compared to the great first part. Does that mean we should be happy if the world celebrates an India movie, but a chutiya Indian movie?-That coconut Angry Birds tree scene.-People touching Bahubali the hero? Isn't that same scene used in Batman Vs Superman?-About VFX, great VFX is always the one which blends with reality, one which cannot be distinguished. FAN, Ra.one, Paheli, Main Hoon Na, Don by Red Chillies have better VFX than whatever American studios they used for I, BAHUBALI2, ENTHIRAAN.

(Any movie scoring 8 or above on IMDb has a solid chance of being a winner.)What I have learned is that IMDb scoring is subject to the social media phenomenon of being skewed by an ardent fan base. In the case of Baahubali, the movie has been a huge hit in an isolated market, continental India. A billion Indians can't be wrong, but they sure can skew an IMDb rating when they vote as a bloc.While Baahubali is astounding audiences in its native homeland (there are some great articles about the movie's importance to the industry and to the North and South regions of the country), American audiences with their highly sophisticated expectations will most likely agree with me that the overall result is an immature, incredibly predictable, poorly executed, soap opera that does not merit its hype or its two-part 5 and half hour running time.MY OBSERVATIONS: Baahubali's story is intriguing as it presents to us a legendary super hero who appears to come from a rich and ancient history/lore. The source material is every bit as promising as heroes from Western culture (Samson, Superman, Hercules, etc.). However, the execution of the story turns great drama (love, family, betrayal, support from the gods, fall from grace) into a soap opera complete with cheesy reaction shots accompanied by shock music more appropriate for 1970s TV sitcoms with their spit takes and laugh tracks.The highly applauded visual effects are mediocre by American standards. Other reviewers have detailed these issues adequately so I will only add my support to their criticisms.The acting is hit or miss. Some scenes come across powerfully (love scenes, for example) while others (like those in the royal court) remind us of American TV sitcoms from the 1970s.BOTTOM LINE: If you are calibrated to fine cinema, are looking for a good epic, and are considering Baahubali, then do some research and enter into the viewing prepared to walk away. I, for one, wish I could get my 5 and half hours back.
