saraccan I started watching this thinking its a straight up prison movie but its actually a whole bunch of things mixed together. Theres fighting, theres over the top violence, theres comedy and theres good old fashioned one-man-show kinda story. Vince Vaughn plays an unusual tough guy. He does a really good job at it but I cant say i loved his fighting. This is not a realistic prison movie and they made sure to emphasize it with over the top, almost comedic, scenes. A soon to be father drug dealer goes to prison and he has to hurt some people in there to save his kidnapped wife and unborn baby.

almara-15738 What ever you do don't watch this with family, and if you're easily shocked it's a no no, after all said I thought the movie was well put together, a few twist and turns, but overall very good.

EricBombardier From the outside, Brawl in Cell Block 99 look like a pretty bad B movie. With Vince Vaughn as the main character, it is easy to want dismiss this movie as a good drama, let alone as a good movie.But. Besides some pretty cheesy scenes (fight scenes mostly) this movie is well executed. The story line is interesting to say the least and it has a beautiful tough rawness to it, which makes it a movie you don't want to miss if you like the genre.

Do not waste 2 hours of your life on this.
