Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
Kien Navarro Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
Erica Derrick By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
Lela The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
adonis98-743-186503 A man and his brother on a mission of revenge become trapped in a harrowing occult experiment dating back to the Third Reich. I remember enjoy this flick back in the day but my god after seeing it? again? I couldn't tell if this was a horror film or sci-fi or whatever the heck this was. Henry Cavill, Michael Fassbender and Dominic Purcell are all pretty much wasted in this abomination and guess who directed this film? Joel Freaking Schumacher. I mean i have enjoyed some of the man's films but jeez he should never direct another horror film ever. (3/10)
Marco F This is one of the movies that make you say "And so?". The film is not as bad as the critics state, but it is not even a hidden gem. It is a mediocre movie by a mediocre director. It starts off very well, but after 30 minutes everything starts to degenerate and the plot makes no sense at all. To make the situation even worse, there is nothing spectacular in the special effect compartments; dialogs are pretty dull too. The storyline is quite appealing, but when it came to shoot the movie probably Joel Schumacher decided to have a drink or two and mess it up completely. Still, you can see some nice ideas that give you hopes... but unfortunately, nothing great will happen on screen. My verdict: a high quality waste of time.
oliverdelasti I don't know why I ever thought that a movie by Joel Schumacher would be worth watching. This guy is incapable of telling a story, instead he is more focused on creating dramatic lighting effects that look like a scene from an advert for the latest Volkswagen ad. He has the talent of Michael Fassbender at his disposal but reduces his appearance in the film to a few mumbled lines and appearing from every conceivable camera angle. After the black and white bit we jump to modern day America, no character development, plot explained in clumsy dialogue, something dramatic happens, then we see two dudes riding off down a river in a canoe, that's where I switched off. I'm never watching a movie by this buffoon again.
valleyjohn I should have known better really. Whenever a film is made that consists of actors who are more well known for being in TV shows ( In this case Henry Cavill - Tudors and Dominic Purcell - Prison Break ) they tend to turn out to be Turkeys. In the case of Blood Creek , this is a Turkey big enough to feed a whole country at Christmas. As far as i can tell , this is the story of a family of German descendent's who call on the services of a Nazi general from Germany but only end up being haunted by this man who has occultist powers.I think that's what it was about anyway because this film was a complete and utter mess from start to finish. I have no idea what director Joel Schumacher was on when he made this film .It looks like he shot a few hundred scenes , threw them on the cutting room floor and put them all back together in the wrong order.I haven't seen a horror film as bad as this since The number 23 - Directed by ? You've guessed it . Joel Schumacher. On this showing i think it's about time he gave up directing and concentrated n something he's good at because directing isn't one of them.
