Nobody likes self-centered realtor Oren Little, and he prefers it that way. He's deliberately mean to anyone who crosses his path and wants nothing more than to sell one final house and retire. His life turns upside-down when his estranged son drops off a granddaughter he never knew existed. Suddenly left in charge of her and with no idea how to take care of a child, he pawns the girl off on his neighbor, Leah -- but he eventually learns how to open his heart.

Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
Listonixio Fresh and Exciting
Nayan Gough A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
Edgar Iván H This movie is an attempt to create a romantic story about elder adults, but I don't think Douglas and Keaton has a good connection, I don't see that spark and charm between them, they look like very forced to be in love. Douglas is not the kind of actor that can play this kind of roles, he lacks Charm, but Nicholson is way better than Douglas playing this type of role. The movie is not bad, but is not good as you may think due the actors are great Hollywood stars. The Movie also has some specific short moments of Racism and you can never have racism in a romantic movie. If the racism were managed with humor, that could fit in the movie, but Douglas is a very serious actor, he is not as good as comedian, In this case the movie has some deep good moments, but overall I can say this movie, has not been good as I expected. 6/10
penniweninger I am a sucker for a good romcom, especially when it involves two of my favorite actors. So even though IMDb reviewers gave this title a collective 5.4, I gave it a shot. I was very disappointed. The script is sappy, the action choppy and some of the scenes and scenarios highly implausible, like when Claire explains the whole story of how Luke came to be in jail, in lurid detail,in a mere 90 seconds and Oren's initial dismissiveness of the clients who finally bought his house. The relationships between the characters were not always clear, e.g.m, the realtor who was Oren's grandson should have been Luke's son or nephew but we never got that; he got Luke's story from him on Facebook. Oren's character changed too abruptly. It could have been a sweet little story but it just did not flow for me at all.
leonblackwood Review: This is your typical Rob Reiner Rom-Com about a grumpy old man (Douglas) whose trying to sell his house after sadly losing his wife. While his house is on the market, he decides to downsize and live in an apartment block, which he happens to own. His son visits him to tell him that he is going to prison and that he wants him to look after his young girl while he's away, but he declines because of his rocky relationship with him. As his son hasn't got anywhere to turn, he drops his daughter and there stray dog, off at his house and his next door neighbour (Keaton) kindly takes her in. He eventually grows to like his granddaughter and he falls for his next door neighbour whose has also lost her husband and is a part time singer in a bar. From there, you get to see a change in Douglas and the movie becomes a corny and predictable love story. The veteran actors put in average performances due to the storyline which wasn't that great. Rob Reiner tried his utmost to make the script witty and upbeat, but it became a bit boring when Douglas started to grow a heart. On the plus side, there are some emotional scenes with the little girl and her new found family, but I have seen this type of movie, many times before and they all end the same way. Average!Round-Up: I really don't know were the budget for this movie went because it's based around a small community with not that many actors. The director tried to keep it real by introducing the heroin addict son and the little girls mother who was also an addict, but it's a basic love story between Douglas and Keaton which has its ups and downs. Since the brilliant Godfather franchise. Diane Keaton has made the same kind of movies, which are based around the Rom-Com genre and are usually not that magnificent. Douglas has toned down his movies by primarily starring in comedies which haven't been that great, which is a shame because his films used to be massive blockbusters. Anyway, this film isn't one that will go down as one of the greats from Rob Reiner, who brought you movies like The Bucket List, A Few Good Men, When Harry Met Sally and the Princess Bride but I'm sure that it won't damage his reputation.Budget: $30million Worldwide Gross: $25millionI recommend this movie to people who are into their Rom-Com's about a grumpy old man who falls for his next door neighbour after she takes in his granddaughter because his son has to go to prison. 3/10
bob-rutzel-1 Real Estate Agent Oren Little (Michael Douglas) has a hard time getting over the death of his wife and is mean and crotchety to all who invade his path. When his son drops off daughter Sara (Sterling Jerins) while he goes to prison, Oren is beside himself. Neighbor Leah (Diane Keaton), a wanna-be lounge singer, tries her best to help. This is watchable and funny at times with Oren's blunt honesty to all. Now you know Oren will change his ways, in time, but until then he is a trip and you never know what he will say next to offend someone. Sometimes it's funny, sometimes not.The chemistry between Oren and Leah is okay, but sometimes the dialogues were cut short and should have been longer. The ending was rushed and we really don't see complete resolutions. What we do see are loose ends. Does Oren change his mind and not go to retire in Vermont? We do see him turn around, but does he stay? Do Oren and Leah get married? Does it matter? There are some scenes that didn't really need to be in here: a young boy exposes himself while changing clothes near a plastic wading pool, a woman shouts to Oren, "Blow me." And a big dog pooping a couple of times, and that same big dog humping a large stuffed bear. See? Quite unnecessary and not funny. Watchable, funny at times but instantly forgettable. (4/10)Violence: No Sex: No. Nudity: No. Sexual language:: Yes. Language: Brief soft stuff only.
