Kamila Bell This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
hedgy71 Hmm, where to begin? I know, let's not!If you you like sci-fi with well detailed models of alien warships, dynamic realistic CGI effects, cool looking super soldier outfits and are inspired by heroic rebel citizens making a bid for freedom against an oppressive occupying force, just go and watch Star Wars for the 112th time, because this reel of barf may turn you off the genre forever if you watch it to the end. The cover art may well have been the biggest production expense! Unremarkably, the budget of this film probably equates to about 1% of the original Star Wars film's production cost in 1977.. Why am I even comparing them in the same sentence? I don't even know any more! A closer parallel is obviously Battle: Los Angeles. If you've seen that film, just rent it or the sequel (which I have not even seen). Even if you have already seen them. Trust me!My IQ dropped well down into the double digits which is what most of the actors must have been paid for their "appearances" in this clearly successful attempt at "getting money" in Hollywood. I suspect they are as much victims as the rest of us and filming on location in Paris and London as well as somewhere out the back of L.A. must have been a draw card.. Even my sarcasm has been impaired. Also due to budget and time restraints, I can only allow two paragraphs for this review, so I'll leave it at that. You're welcome.
peterpicture For anyone wondering if any film can be as bad as the reviews say, the answer is a loud YES - in fact it's worse.I was given a copy of this, and am so glad that I didn't pay for it. As it stands, it's space on my hard drive that i will reclaim very soon. The only way to endure this... stuff is to skip 9 seconds in 10. At one stage, I saw what I thought to be a half-decent zombie, but it was only the director trying to evade capture. The actors weren't trying, and should not do so again. In fact the whole crew should try and find something they are good at, because it certainly isn't film-making.I do feel that there must be something to be said for this thing, and it's this - ideal present for someone you neither like, nor respect. The lowest-rated film I've yet found on IMDb, and justly so. Avoid.
mergatroid-1 I was looking around a big box store for something I had never seen. When I find one, I usually look it up on IMDb to make sure it doesn't suck, but in this case the movie was so cheap ($3) that I didn't care. I just wanted something to watch. From the cover (Yeah, I know what they say about books, and I guess the same goes for movies) it sounded like it might be an interesting story. It sounded like it was basically Cowboys vs Aliens. Unfortunately, it wasn't. It was one cowboy and a bunch of others, it was a very bad script, and very bad actors, and a sucky story.I sat there and watched the entire thing. It wasn't even so bad it was good, it just plain sucked. Mostly boring. I can give them a break here since at least it was a different story. In this movie Aliens have taken over and are keeping humans in cells. They have turned women into birthing machines, giving birth to some kind of genetically engineered meat that is fed to the other prisoners. The meat causes the prisoners to change over time, making them into a kind of vessel to house the aliens. It really sounds more interesting than the producers manage to make it. The script and acting, not to mention the direction, really turn this into not only a "B" movie, but one I wouldn't recommend to anyone. If you see this at a garage sale for 25 cents, save your money (unless you're in need of a spare DVD case, then talk them down to a nickle and throw the DVD away).
curtm97982-205-431098 By far the worst movie I have ever watched. Thank God it was on Netflix so I didn't pay anything extra for it. Plot was so thin it was invisible, acting was so bland and one dimensional to call it bad would be an insult to bad acting. The sets were amateurish and looked like they were left over from a backyard theater. The dialog was so badly written it not only sounded forced, it made no sense at all. Was there an actual story they were telling? It seems there was supposed to be some relationship between the two female scientists but we never found out what it was. If we were supposed to identify with the plight of the humans it never happened. Fifteen minutes into the movie you will be rooting for the aliens. Some movies are bad in a way that makes them fun to watch. This was NOT one of those movies.
