gordon lucas Now, let's look at the plot line - astronauts come back to earth after stasis and find humans enslaved and the planet being ruled by giant alien cockroaches. To some of us, it just doesn't get any better than this!Nobody in their right mind is going to take Alien Apocalypse seriously, and those who want to watch it will do so regardless of reviews that deplore plot holes, bad effects, and poor acting. Get a life! It's supposed to be this way! I thought the effects hilarious (the alien Cockroaches are too much!), and the acting suitably over the top. The film editing is excellent, and the Cockroaches' decapitation of victims as hors d'oeuvres has got to be seen to be believed. This movie doesn't try to be campy, but just silly. It's Larry, Curley and Moe for the boomers!So grab some pretzels, a brew or two, a couple of good friends and just howl. Hey, it's got Bruce Campbell in it, and it's a hoot! Enjoy! :-)

lastliberal You can't expect more in a direct-to-video grade Z movie than a terrible script and some bad acting. Still, it's Bruce Campbell, and he is good for a few laughs.He and Renée O'Connor (Gabrielle from "Xena: Warrior Princess") return from space after 40 years and find aliens have taken over and enslaved the humans. It was fun watching them bite off heads.Campbell escapes and leads a rag tag bunch to defeat the aliens. You know how this will work out. Lots of aliens lost their heads thinking they can beat the humans when they are fired up.Another fun time with Bruce.

james higgins It's a good thing the filmmakers didn't make this a real serious film. It is clearly low budget and the acting is really really bad. There are touches of imagination, and that is appreciated but the special effects are only average. The premise itself sound interesting, astronauts return to earth after a forty year mission, and earth has been taken over by wood craving aliens. Then it struck me, what outer space mission isn't on daily contact with earth? So it makes the whole story invalid. How could they be so surprised? Although the humor is welcome, it's also out of place. The score becomes monotonous after awhile. It was just to stupid to be enjoyed.

Ralf_Solo We are in October 2007 , and so far he is one of the best movie I saw this year, way better than "Transformer" or "the fantastic four".With a little budget and made for the TV ,Alien Apocalypse is a post atomic earth with aliens invasion and an atmosphere of the 1968's planet of the apes story , a very good subject for a movie so far.I saw it with french voices , the movie has hilarious quote than I don't know is was from the original text or the french actors get wild , but half of the movie is in the comedy stand and it was meant to be. The movie carry a very important message which make me feel very happy to hear : "give me freedom or give me death" it is a very very important message than we should all remember in the near years who are coming (I understand myself).Bruce Campbell is good as always , the rest of the cast is OK and some time very funny , their is action and some gore , the music is good and the special effects OK. The story is simple but not bad at all , but of course the movie could have be MUCH better if the director used some imagination and try a little bit harder.If you like post atomic and aliens , it is nice to watch it, I think for a TV movie it is pretty nice. I give a 7 and I will say like Dr Zoidberg of "Futurama" : more ...M-O-R-E !!!!!
