Michele Clark I like this moving because it's based on a true story. Also if you watch any interviews with the cast, you learn that they actually spent time with the real people to learn the story before they played the roles so that they had all the facts so that it was "real" instead of acting. The storyline was great and you could tell the actors really had a true love for horses. I totally recommend it. 5 stars!!

Sandra Andersson In my opinion this is a perfect movie for the whole family! A perfect get- away movie to cozy down on the couch.. Exiting movie with excellent cast and crew that really moves you. Takes you to a new world, makes you feel good above all... I have seen a lot of horsemovies but for me this one tops it all. I was really moved by this story that is a true story! Loved the music in it too!! I was sitting on a edge most of the time! I really loved this movie and are now in my top 5 of favorite movies of all time (so far that is). I am recommending this awesome movie to everyone. It is a must see movie!! If you haven't watched it yet you really, really need to!! So cozy down, relax and enjoy the ride!

sheryden I dig stories about underdogs, and this is certainly in that vein. It's a feel-good film fit for the whole family. It features a superb cast in Christian Kane, Skeet Ulrich, and William Devane. And Calvin Borel, the actual jockey who rode Mine That Bird in the winning Kentucky Derby steals the show as he plays himself.I had to wait a long time to see this film, because it was in limited release when it first came out, but it was worth the wait. The cast, crew, and everyone involved with the film put a lot of love into this film. Great movie for family night or if you've had a rotten day and just want to put a smile on your face.

jhembrook529 I rented 50 to 1 from Redbox because I wanted to see it first before I bought it to be sure I'd like it. Well, I loved it! I loved the acting by all in the film especially Skeet Ulrich and Christian Kane! I fell in love with Mine that Bird from the beginning of watching him and seeing the actual jockey, Calvin Borel, ride at the end of the movie was amazing! He knew exactly how to ride the horse to save his energy for the end to win the race. Even knowing how it ended didn't take away from the excitement of seeing it happen. The movie was very well done and I intend to buy it as soon as I am able. My daughter is 9 and a horse lover and I think she would very much enjoy watching this movie as well!
