Forensics students arriving an isolated, island "body farm" get to try out their CSI skills on a bunch of corpses under the watchful eye of their grumpy professor. The island used to house a state penitentiary where the authorities were experimenting on death row inmates and now the bodies won't stay still.

Matrixston Wow! Such a good movie.
Platicsco Good story, Not enough for a whole film
Darin One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
one-nine-eighty Lowell Dean directs this 2013 flat horror film which finds itself somewhere between average and so-so. 6 undergraduate forensic investigator CSI wannabe's (including Katherine "Ginger Snaps" Isabelle, Brendan Fehr, Brenda Fletcher) are out in the field (on a deserted island) learning from real life (but still staged) situations, their seemingly always angry professor/ coach/ mentor has set up 3 dead bodies which he sourced from a morgue and placed them in random situations for the students to investigate. Things go wrong when more bodies are found close by and soon enough zombies begin attacking the group who have to run and fight for survival. The zombies looked cheap, make up and effects were equally cheap, and I was angered at times by the lack of care taken in the delivery both in the horror element and the investigation element. I guess one saving grace is that instead of using CGI which would be easy the director and crew have stayed old-school and used prosthetics and fake blood. In regards to the CSI stuff - why is it that certain forensic investigation based films/TV shows show a blatant disregard for preserving the crime scene? The young investigators seem not to care about polluting the crime scene with their hair which is never tied back, they randomly touch corpses and areas around the corpses and they disregard what should be lesson 101 for them. Don't get me wrong, I'm not training in the art of crime scene investigation but evidently I know more than the director and cast who put this cliché filled film together. Character development is weak so you never real feel any emotional connection for the stars as they bumble around - for example why is Tomkins (Michael "Stargate SG1" Shanks) so angry all the time? Where did Nick "Lock Stock and Two smoking Barrels" Moran get his American accent from? This film feels like it could be a lot better but unfortunately comes across rushed and aesthetics over substance. 5/10 from me sorry, not the best horror or zombie flick, not the worst either but dull enough that I'll probably have forgotten it in a few days.
arfdawg-1 Six forensic undergrads embark on a scientific expedition to a remote island that was once used as illegal biological testing grounds for life-term prisoners. This movie is WAYYYY better than some of the reviews suggests.Yes, the undead are sort of cheesie. And yes, it's a flawed film that sometimes borders on totally unbelievable. But's really a decent concept and a lot of it is unexpectedly good.Plus it's got a great surprise ending. Wait for it!I think think this was a solid six.Watch it and judge for yourself!
loomis78-815-989034 Six forensic undergrad students agree to a competition that could land one of them in a training position with the FBI. They arrive on a remote island and are suppose to find planted bodies and collect evidence. Unfortunately for them this site was used as a biological testing ground on life-term prisoners. These burnt looking cadavers are among them and very much alive with revenge in mind. The relentless ex-inmates attack and devour a few students in gruesome fashion and they soon come back to life as the undead. What you have in this Canadian production is a semi-clever twist on the Zombie attack film. The isolation is there and the victims are made to fight for their lives. The good news is, Director Lowell Dean builds suspense well and delivers with some inspired and at times gory deaths. Katharine Isabelle is solid in the lead role and some great looking zombies deliver the goods. Fast paced and never boring, 13 Eerie will manage a few good scares and solid Zombie action and mayhem.
Terry Oh I'm not sure if it's a spoiler but I'll say that the location that this film was shot at is an abandon wild animal park in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. They did a great job making it look like an abandon prison except there was never an actual prison in the movie, probably because the location has been vacant for 20 years. The building where one of the bodies were found are actually public washrooms, tagged by me and my friends. HA! Decent B movie, if it wasn't for the strong cast line up, I'd have given it a 4 instead of 6. Really good work on the reanimated corpses, and lots of great make up. More movies should be shot in this location, as they used a lot of tightly framed shots. The whole Vally is quite beautiful in a creepy way. If you've ever been to the wild animal park, I recommend watching this movie and see how much of the old park you can remember. Kill scene in the monkey cage was my favourite.
