Grimerlana Plenty to Like, Plenty to Dislike
Tayyab Torres Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
Zlatica One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Andariel Halo I guess i'm the stupid one for picking it, but my cable service kept pushing this film up the list of Horror titles available on demand and I eventually caved and tried it. It's not a horror movie, but rather a drama with a bit of romance. except on top of that it flirts with some horror ideas and even all but confirms at least one ghost. The ending as well seemed unsure of itself in terms of genre, resulting in a flat-out confusing ending this isn't at all my type of movie, but what tends to really aggravate me is when a movie doesn't seem to know what genre it wants to be, and ends up being not fully committed to any genre in particular. it's almost never worked out for a film
Jeffrey Burton This is an old school Gothic, slow burn, ghost story in the style of 'The Innocents'. This movie is beautifully shot and the directing has a very confident hand. It's hard to believe both the Director and cinematographer are relatively inexperienced. Director, Eric D. Howell has the majority of his credits as a stuntman and the DP, Peter Simonite's are mostly in the production dept. The movie isn't as well written or executed as 'The Innocents' but it definitely deserves a better rating than what it's getting here. It's a very ambitious movie and while it does fall somewhat short, I would rather see a movie that aspires to be something more, than the brain-numbing, Michael Bay type, cineplex fodder that gets pumped out, today. There are some scenes that look like a work of art. The atmosphere is very rich and while the movie doesn't quite satisfy it's still engaging once you get used to the pace. I recommend this movie for what it tries to be more than for what it achieves. If you are fan of Gothic stories that may (or may not) have some supernatural elements then give this movie a try.
neotyrael Every detail was quite captivating, and the movie is worth a watch, even if you don't like drama that much. It's not cliche, like some people reviewed, and it's quite atmospheric and well detailed. It's not that good for everyone, but i'm pretty sure it will never be that bad. Go on and see for yourself! Greatly recommended!
mag-105-879025 Spoiler alert. Everything about this movie would be great but there is one huge thing what makes it not worth it. There is no logic. Did she make sex with him or she didn't? Did he start falling for her or not? There is a long list of confusing stuff, even the ending is unclear. I was disappointed and angry when it was over. I wish I'd never seen it.
