arigreenbean Excellent. It would have been great even without the magic. The relationship between the characters was real and everything was more grounded. There was a genuine level of care between the characters as opposed to the shows now. I love Alex's character. It was nice because although she was the main character she wasn't as Disney Channel perfect as most of the other main characters. In the end she always ended up doing the right thing, which usually involved helping her brother Justin. Unlike Disney shows today all the characters, except for Max, had moments that were not all about the humor and instead about friendship and other things like that. Disney needs to learn that even if the whole show isn't based entirely around humor, it can be (and was) funnier than shows like ANT Farm where everything that happens, happens to make kids laugh (and still not actually be that funny). Also it's not as random, which is refreshing. In shows like ANT Farm, their problems are solved by doing random, unrealistic and impossible things. In Wizards most problems are not solved by magic but by the characters getting along at the end and helping each other out.
dark-silencer15 Most shows on Disney for the past years have been seriously dropping in quality, from Hannah Montana, Suite Life of Zack and Cody, they were amusing but they weren't good shows. Disney, in my opinion, had lost its good old magic from the Mickey Mouse days. However, Wizards of Waverly Place has been a great show filled with excitement, drama, and comedy. It had laughs and family and everything that you'd ever want from a good old classic Disney sitcom just like the good old days with Boy Meets World. I will admit it, season three seriously dropped in its amazement. However, the fourth season has been an amazing come back from its bad days, the fourth season is filled with the good quality that I remember from the first two seasons that always made me laugh. All in all, Wizards of Waverly Place is a great family show that has brought back the magic of Disney Channel which makes me proud to watch it.
jaz16 I love Wizards of Waverly Place. I remember when it first aired. I didn't like the show. I thought none of them were funny at first except their father, Jerry (David DeLuise) but after giving the show a chance they all became funny to me and Wizards of Waverly Place became my favorite show from Disney. It's the BEST! I love it! My little sisters and I watch it together every time a new episodes airs. We even watch the same episodes over on Netflix.Selena Gomez is a spectacular actress. When I watch this show. I don't see Selena Gomez, I see Alex Russo. It's amazing how different she is when I watch her being interviewed and making videos for her fans and then seeing her act as Alex. She's really good and she's one of my favorite actress.David Henrie is so funny and adorable as Justin Russo. He plays his character really well. He's very talented. I love the way he acts when he's trying to fix a bad situation or when he helps get his sister, Alex out of trouble. Jake T. Austin was very cute when he started this show in 2007. He's character wasn't so...well dumb back then. Things change I guess but in a way their all dumb in their own special way which makes it funny. He has grown well as an actor and he always makes me laugh when he says things that are funny and dumb.Jennifer Stone....one word...HILARIOUS! Her character is unique and very funny. She makes me laugh all the time. She kind of opened out during the second season I believe and she just became extremely funny. The parents played by David DeLuise and Maria Canals-Barrera. They have great chemistry together and they're funny and great together. I'm really going to miss Wizards of Waverly Place. My dream is to be on the show. That would be a miracle from God! *sigh* A girl can dream... It's one of Disney's best shows ever made. 10 stars!
missmegan24 When I first started watching this show, I absolutely hated it. The episodes were the same every week - they learned a new spell, Alex did something bad with it, Justin fixed it, the dad got mad, blah blah. As the show went on, I've started to enjoy it more - maybe because Disney drastically upped the quality of the graphics since WoWP won an Emmy. I absolutely hate Alex, still. She is a horrible role model for young kids and laughs at things like homework and such, which gets boring after you've seen it done 10 times. Justin has gotten funnier but they've strayed away from his original character, which is a bit disappointing. Overall I try not to watch it if I can, but when I do, it's just alright. I do enjoy Harper, and I'm glad they are making her more included in the show (even though I think it's bizarre that she had to move in with their family...)
