Synopsis

A small town is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. While military forces, the government and the media positioned outside of this surrounding barrier attempt to break it down, a small group of people inside attempt to figure out what the dome is, where it came from, and when (and if) it will go away.

khageshbit Please don't waste your time watching this stupid show. i don't understand how it got 6.7 rating i watched this series season one because the concept of the dome was very interesting and seems promising so i continued watching after watching episodes by episodes i got very irritated this show is very dumbest show ever. poor acting logic less things characters do stupid things. if you want to pass your time you should go and sit in front of a wall and watch it for a hour instead of watching this series. completely nonsense.
jennybenny318 This was a really awesome show to watch! I love everything Stephen King has written. I watched this show in just 4 days.It was that amazing! It ended right where it should have. For the people who write negative reviews, I'm always the one that seems to like it.
MC Ronson "Under the Dope" was likely the original Title, since this movie's premise goes from 'what is this'? somehow entertaining enough to continue watching and waiting for some kind of a plot to develop. ***spoiler alert** It never does.It proceeds as agonizingly slow as the plot is pointless. All this script serves is to reveal how shallow most of the amateur actors and actresses abilities are. These are what passes for the highlights of this show. The biggest disaster was the entire production, not whatever premise this series was attempting.
Olivia It started out as a good show, but once I got to season three the insane amount of plot holes began to frustrate me. Government wouldn't have neglected them as much as is portrayed in the series. For example, if there was a way into the dome I'm pretty sure someone should've brought them food and supplies, but did that happen? No. I haven't read the book so I don't know how closely this series follows the actual plot, but I've read enough Stephen King novels to know that he's a good author and if the book is filled with as many flaws as this series is I'd definitely be disappointed. I also didn't like the how random characters were added later when I'd thought we'd met mostly everyone after season one. I wish that we'd been introduced to at least most of the characters early on. I also think that three seasons is a little excessive. It seems like they just added extra problems on to the poor citizens of Chester's Mill to make the show last longer, and that's not a good feel for a show to have. I feel like I'd be much happier if the extra problems were cut out and the show was only one or possibly two seasons long. With the amount of problems this review is full of, I have to include some good parts. The romance is actually pretty accurately portrayed compared to other shows. I also like how in this show no one is really the "good guy". They've all got some problems. I enjoyed the general idea as well, though I'm not sure if we can give credit to the show or Stephen King. Even though "Under the Dome" is definitely flawed in some aspects, I can credit it for not being a complete waste of my time. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it but I wouldn't discourage anyone from watching it either.
