eriklehnsher I don't understand all the negative reviews for Season 2, unless they were written by wannabe philosophy majors who jerked off to all the pretentious lines from Season 1. Don't get me wrong, I liked Season 1, and there were some pretty good quotes, but some of them were just pointless. And I feel like the focus was not on the story itself, which made it a bit boring to watch, but nevertheless enjoyable.Season 2, however, is a classic example of film noir, and some people obviously failed to understand that. I found the characters way more likable, the plot and the story itself were more interesting, and more fun to watch. The cast did a very good job, and I believe that Farrell, McAdams and Vaughn were just as good as McConaughey and Harrelson.Don't believe all the negative reviews until you see it for yourself. And don't expect Season 2 to be the same as Season 1, as I believe many people did. I found the differences between Season 1 and 2 a good thing, because the directors obviously decided to enrich the show by changing styles and I, for one, am looking forward to Season 3 because I don't know what to expect and I like it that way.

NikkoFranco This show is made of granite. Solid, rough on the edges but beautiful. Let's not forget that we are always fascinated by serial killers, catching them even more fascinating. Maybe we are fascinated because we are intrigued not because we have intentions to follow. Or maybe we want to save ourselves if we ever , God forbids, meet one. Since Woody possesses such a comic face , and Matthew such charm, it is very special that together they pulled this off. This is a clever, seamless, action ( but not testosterone) packed police show . For tellyphiles out there, this is a one of its kind series. No repetitions, no boring moments.

Ohh_danielson I have just watched the first series of True Detective, having let it slip under my radar until now, and I was not disappointed! I'll try not to put any spoilers in here but overall I felt the story was very good and interesting/twisted but it is the acting of McConaughey and Harrelson which really makes this great. The chemistry between the two is so good, I could just watch them two sitting in a car for an hour and find it thoroughly enjoyable. Back to the story, I felt like I lost the story a little bit, maybe half way through the series, lost track of what was going on a little, but that was probably due to the series focusing more on the main characters background, so when the invesitgation picked up momentum I wasn't 100% sure of how it got there but it was throughly enjoyable either way. The series has made me realise how good McConaughey is as an actor, so much so that I am now looking to binge through some of his movies! Debating watching series 2, although heard mainly negative things so may give it a miss.
