Synopsis

The “Seven Deadly Sins”—a group of evil knights who conspired to overthrow the kingdom of Britannia—were said to have been eradicated by the Holy Knights, although some claim that they still live. Ten years later, the Holy Knights have staged a Coup d'état and assassinated the king, becoming the new, tyrannical rulers of the kingdom. Elizabeth, the king's only daughter, sets out on a journey to find the “Seven Deadly Sins,” and to enlist their help in taking back the kingdom.

Alicia I love this movie so much
Console best movie i've ever seen.
FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
Zlatica One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
asselandstrom If you want to see an anime with great story, great charachters (with good voice-actors) , breathtaking soundtrack, beautiful animations and want to see the concept of all the 7 deadly sins in an anime, this is just the series for you. In my opinion this is by far the best anime i've seen, and oboy have i seen good anime, for exampel dbz, dbs, aot, naruto, fma, fmab and this just beats them all to be honest (especially with the soundtrack).
Arnaud Classic shounen without any original content. The characters are so basic, a lot of events can be foreseen. The fan service is pretty awful too. Elizabeth just seem to not care when she's getting harassed by Meliodas. It could have been interesting if there was some dramatic scenes but ZERO PROTAGONIST died during the whole show ! Even Veronica who was supposed to be dead miraculously resurrected due to Elizabeth overpowered magic. A lot of important things like the sacred weapons are left unexplained. How did Ban get his nunchaku back ??? How can Gowther survive after he ( or she ? ) got his head chopped of ??? The only good character in my opinion is Hawk who brings some fun to the show. However some backstories are pretty well written but there are ruined by bad characters in my opinion. I also don't see the relation between the animal and the sins... Wrath with dragon, OK why not but greed with fox ? Anyway , I just feel that the whole universe is not credible... Way too much important things left unexplained and way too much clichés.
arturodv1996 The Seven Deadly Sins is another original anime from Netflix, just like Knights of Sidonia, and Ajin: Demi-Human. But is it a good anime to watch? Read to find out! In this fantasy world, about ten years ago, a whole group of Knights were slaughtered by the Seven Deadly Sins, and the king was killed. Ten years have past, and the holy knights are still on the hunt for the Seven Deadly Sins. The story soon starts us off with a little guy serving food and drinks in his bar, but people talking about the seven deadly sins gets them a bit tense, and soon after words, a knight comes in, saying the seven deadly sins, everyone runs out like they smelled a fart. Soon the person in the armor falls and it comes apart showing a female, she soon says she is looking for the seven deadly sins to the little guy, but it turns out that he is Meliodas, the leader of the seven deadly sins. They soon head out on a journey to look for the rest of the deadly sins, and they will find out about a dark plan that is in the capitol. The characters are great, they have their own personalities, and the way they interact with each other is funny, you will get attached to these characters. As for the art style, its nice, it looks a little bit like Fairy Tail in a sense, but I will say, even though it looks like a child friendly anime, it's not. If you have Akame Ga Kill, and Fairy Tail, but them together and you have The Seven Deadly Sins. I was surprised by the gore in this anime, due to the art style. For the music, catchy, it sounds like Fairy Tail's type soundtrack. Now there is one issue for people that don't like stuff that's out there. Now without giving much away, but there will be points, even near the end of the show where they face these creature with a human figure at the bottom of their stomach, and where people turn into them, there is a reason for this, which is good, but it might be a little out there for some people. There is also one thing that was never explained for one character in the last episode sooooo you're left with nothing.I will say though that it is left with a cliffhanger, but in a sense, its more like there will be another season. And what Netflix does best, you can also listen to it in Spanish, French, German, Japanese, which I would probably like to watch again in Spanish, sense I'm still learning Spanish and there is also not much anime dubbed in Spanish. The English dub is also perfect! My Final Thoughts: This show is probably better than Knights of Sidonia, it has action, likable characters, and a compelling story! If you like Anime or a Fairy Tail/Akame Ga Kill type anime, this is it, and it's a Netflix original! Besides the weird parts of the show, this anime is superb!
Freak Idiot What starts out as a surprisingly imaginative and seemingly subversive action anime gradually devolves into brainless, drawn out action and tired clichés. Oh well. The show starts out promisingly: the setup is a bit different from your typical fantasy in having wanted fugitives as its main characters, and the colourful cast featuring members like a 30-foot woman and a talking pig give the impression that the show has more creative ideas to come. Some of the character backstories are surprisingly deep and well realized, and partly manage to stay away from the most tired clichés. The moral ambiguity about who's the actual villain of the story also gives a good impression, which is further reinforced by the main character being, in honest, a prick. Sadly the show starts a steady downward slide in quality less than 10 episodes in, and never recovers from that: The action scenes become more ridiculous and drawn out. If you're not a fan of fight scenes where characters shout out the names of their techniques like they're playing Final Fantasy, you're not going to like this anime. The story becomes just another good guys vs. bad guys plot. Things that initially raise intrigue are either rushed, never explained, or drop out of the story seemingly entirely. The pacing suffers a severe dip in quality as the old "having a long conversation in the middle of a fight" storytelling rears its ugly head. A few plot elements and characters appear seemingly out of nowhere towards the end, and vanish just as quickly. One things that does get better is the constant, pandering fan service which is relentless in the first episodes, and gladly almost entirely absent from the last episodes. But that's not a positive, that's a negative that slowly becomes a zero. The Seven Deadly sins is ultimately a disappointing series, and a classic case of wasted potential. If fantasy shounen action is your thing, there's things to like here. The animation's certainly not bad, and there are some creative powers introduced that keep the action interesting for some time. But if you're not a fan of this particular genre, watching more than the first 8 or so episodes is hard to recommend.
