I am constantly searching for a new SciFi series that works but, alas, no one seems capable of producing one that isn't a bland extension of life here on earth in the 90s. Perhaps science fact has ruined it but the main problem I have is that the plots are really boring, unnecessarily complicated or simply confused. There is little entertainment in any new SciFi output. I'm disappointed in the loss of this genre.

Since my younger years I loved so called Space Opera novels. This series is of the highest quality, both in the universe it paints, as the characters (which have depth for a change) and an intelligent plot. This is Asimov meats John le Carré. Apart from that, the acting is high standard and the scenery is amazing. It is beyond me, why Netflix stopped after season 2. Real Scifi lovers will devour this series and love it to bits.

Season 1 was great and left me with high hopes going into season 2. But that was short-lived once the storyline devolved into Lucasfilm-esque bland confusion revolving around *groan* politics. The gravely-voiced old politician woman was given way too many scenes: she's wooden, boring and monotonous, just begging for the fast-forward button. Hoping season 3 returns to form, but not expecting much!

This show has quality production behind it. A complex plot. Extremely well selected cast with characters and personalities that work well. There is mystery and intrigue. A very balanced sci fi unlike anything I've seen since Babylon 5 (except this is even more enjoyable). It's a sci-fi equivalent of Game of thrones in terms of production quality and complexity.
