Humaira Grant It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
gman007-1 I simply could not believe that someone had finally gotten it right. I've waded thru a lot only to emerge after decades of wannabe shows and movies landing on this incredible extension of what was truly original. My deepest thanks.
ron-agnelo-saldanha Everything feels rights, and honestly few minutes in and most would tend to forget it's not the same cast / show! Do you usually need prescription glasses to watch TV? Take them off if you were a fan of the original because apart from the faces, there's no telling this apart!Love it!
johan-herstad The production quality on this show is undeniably fantastic. The tone is near spot on. But you would not know this if you are not a fan of the original and/or don't love the now campy nature of the original show. If you didn't laugh at William Shatner's falstaffian character then, you might miss out on this. The biggest understandable complaint that I agree with is the quality of some of the actors. I love the actor playing Kirk. But Spock, Scotty and a few others aren't the best fit. But it's clearly a work of love. I laugh and cheer when I watch this, lovingly. It's a very good sign that some of the reviews here are either very negative or very positive. It means that they've gone all in, as any artistic endeavour ideally should strive to do.
magnusman60 I was born the same year that this all started and meet most of the cast over the years outside of the fan experience. The movies are great but this is the only one that made me close my eyes ans swear i was hearing the original. The original spirit is certainly alive and well to a almost eerie degree.A very good eerie and one that is most definitely needed in this day and age.On a more personal note this scotty would make the past scotty a very proud father.
