Evengyny Thanks for the memories!
VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
Glimmerubro It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
EdwardMurrow I was surprised to see the show allow the "Pro" football players to continue to hit the Joe contestant after the man was down. I watched the "Pros" Bill Goldberg and Kevin Greene continue to hit the contestant after he was down, and rough him up. This continued, over several downs, without a referee, until a contestant was injured, and limped off the field. The show's Director should have stopped the show the moment "Pro", Bill Goldberg, threatened to knock out the teeth of the contestants. Bill Goldberg should have been thrown off the show, and the audience told that the show does not condone "Pros" intentionally injuring Joes. You cannot sign away negligence & malice.
Son_of_Mansfield This is the show where loud mouth wannabe athletes get schooled by the pros that they so unjustly scorn. I can't stop watching this. John Rocker can kick a mean soccer ball, even though it isn't his first sport. Jose Cansaco can still hit the homers. Claude Lemieux is an old, dirty, male, illegitimate, child. How about the joes? Boy, can they...talk. That is my only problem with this show. Isn't there anyone out there who has respect for the athletes and can play? It seems like they pick the most annoying people to make complete fools of themselves. I suppose they call that great TV. Watch this to see that just because a pro doesn't play their sport professionally anymore, doesn't mean that they can't play anymore.
n_25 I love the concept of Pros versus Joes you really understand how its both the fan and the players who can be arrogant. But cm-on going across the middle against Romanowski would have been terrifying 7 years ago and covering jerry Rice would have been impossible 6 years ago. Many of these guys are out of their primes which in sorts (almost)deprives the Joes a confident win. The battles between the had and haves vs. the could haves make it all the more fun, as one side tries to prove the other inferior. But hey my favourite part is no one can come close to out-homering Bo Jackson still, at almost age 45 with a hip replacement, until he decides to bunt ha ha. solid idea and great viewing whether your a fan or not, retro or young.
Crimson-Kelly I am NOT a sports guy. For all I know, the shortstop isn't supposed to tag the center guard for a field goal. I despise 90% of reality TV with a passion. Pro's Vs Joe's comes together to form a creative and entertaining series that just about anyone can enjoy. Its nice seeing the big names from yesteryear come back for a few minutes of glory and giving the average guy a chance at bragging rights..(and the 20k pot doesn't hurt either). The banter that goes on in the Pro's locker room and on field is hysterical and much of the material seems to be "on the spot" rather than pre-written. Its a unique mixture that focuses more on the competition and team play rather than the sports themselves (or gaudy special effects) and is lightly flavored with just the right amount of trash talk. I have to say seeing Goldberg pick up a golf club and yelling "Take That B**tch!" was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. This is definitely one for the DVR/Tivo and I look forward to future episodes.
