Nessieldwi Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.
Humaira Grant It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
cmidnightsky I can barely remember how season 1 ended after it went from creepy to absolutely ridiculous. I was shocked to hear it got renewed. So far season 2 is so slow it's like taking a Dramamine/Benadryl cocktail. My husband will be watching on his own.
utahman1971 I watched it today, and there is nothing at all. Absolutely nothing horror on this show at all. I would rather watch horror than drama, but this is boring to watch because it was just that, Boring. Nothing at all spooky. People talking through out the whole show only. How is that scary? Is this a so call build up until the last episode? That is very sad if that is the case here. There are so many movies that are called horror but are not spooky or scary to even be called it at all, and then there is this show. They got it MA, and it is just boring as h*ll. I feel sorry for these so called directors and producers that do not know what horror is. The Dead Zone was scarier than this and that was not that scary. Sad!!!!
The Couchpotatoes Pleasantly surprised with Outcast. Being a fan of the obscure, you get everything you want with this series. The evil ambiance literally drips of your screen during this show. They don't reveal too much, so it isn't easy to create such a dark ambiance. I hope that we will get more gory scenes in season two, even though it is not absolutely necessary for this show to survive. The filming and the soundtrack are perfect. It's all very dark and gives you an uncomfortable feeling. Patrick Fugit does a great job playing the outcast Kyle Barnes. Even at the end of the first season you still have a lot of questions unanswered and it can only be good for the next season. Reverend Anderson played by Philip Glenister also fits perfectly in the story. Evil against good, or is it totally different? Can't wait for the next season to get some answers.
Ryan The more I watch Robert Kirkman's out cast the more intrigue it brings out in me. Rare is it to find such a show that is truly unpredictable. Modern television shows are often extremely entertaining and yet predictable. Shows such as Grimm (which I love for other reasons) and the effects that are used great, acting great the premise of the show is excellent, and yet it can be predictable. This does not apply to Outcast. It has a very unique and dark atmosphere which creates and eerie sense of fear in the viewer. Often this created by facial expressions and music. However it is difficult to identify what creates this sense of suspense. However it is clear that is is the purpose of the writers to do so. This aspect of Outcast is something that very few shows can match. It is clear however that Outcast is in it's first season. The story is progressing slowly and for some this will be frustrating. This does reinforce the atmosphere of the show however. Although moving slowly, the story and plot is extremely intriguing and hence, Outcast is a show that should not be overlooked. The writers will continue to determine the direction of the show and as this happens the show will likely become great.
