Synopsis

In Tree Hill, North Carolina two half brothers share a last name and nothing else. Brooding, blue-collar Lucas is a talented street-side basketball player, but his skills are appreciated only by his friends at the river court. Popular, affluent Nathan basks in the hero-worship of the town, as the star of his high school team. And both boys are the son of former college ball player Dan Scott whose long ago choice to abandon Lucas and his mother Karen, will haunt him long into his life with wife Deb and their son Nathan.

Merolliv I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.
Tayloriona Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Dana An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
vesy90 Oh, I love this show. It is so good, so powerful. Much better than The OC. I used to watch the latter as well, but it never captivated me the way One Tree Hill did. It is on equal terms with shows like Dawson's Creek and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I will always remember Nathan & Haley and Lucas & Payton! Two amazing couples. I really didn't want to see Lucas with Brooke and I would so hope that he would get back with Peyton. I do like Brooke, but she never touched me as deeply as Peyton. She is truly his soul-mate, much more like him than Brooke and generally deeper and more interesting character than Brooke. And Nathan & Heley...Oh, I love stories about someone changing for the better because of the person they love. Nathan went through such a huge change. Because of Lucas and, of course, because of the lovely Haley James. Peyton did too. We see her growing from a moody, immature teenager into a responsible, brave, open young woman. Brooke shows great growth as well. P.S. I love Dan's complexity and that he's not just "the villain" I love the shades of grey that abound in all the characters. Awesome show!
taracran430 I didn't watch OTH when it was originally on the air. I got Netflix about a year ago and have binge watched several series so far. Friday Night Lights, Gilmore Girls, Parenthood, and most recently OTH. I knew about 15 minutes into the first episode that it was going to be great and it was for seasons 1-6. There are many episode that I was laughing so hard or crying so hard that my tummy hurt. Things just didn't feel the same once "Lucas and Peyton" left. Season 7 was OK but then came season 8 and it was the worst. Really no great story lines and it was all over the place. I would watch the series again and stop with season 6.
bruhbrah One Tree is an overall extreme success, especially among the teenage community. It teaches life lessons on-screen that can be applied to real life. In addition, this show has deeply impacted me as well. The characters are easy to relate to and you'll instantly know which character is most like you. First of all, let's get one thing straight, this show is about way more than just basketball, so anyone who told you they hated it because it's only about basketball, they're wrong, and an idiot. By the first episode, I was already hooked. Once you start One Tree Hill you won't be able to stop because it is so addicting. This show is probably the one I binge watch the most. The plot, setting, and characters are what make the show so enjoyable. However, I would not give this show a perfect score because in the later seasons, the story shifts very far from the original plot that everybody loved. Seasons 7-9 are still very amusing, but not as exciting and interesting as 1-6. You don't get the same vibe in the later seasons as you do in the earlier seasons and that is because two, very important main characters that played a huge role in the plot of the story leave the show. Everybody loved these two characters and the show is not the same without them. I literally got emotionally attached to these two characters and their story is so inspiring and shows the ability that if two people love each other, they can overcome as many obstacles as possible and still be together. It is amazing to see these individuals grow from reckless teens, into responsible, mature adults and all the drama that comes along with it. This is the one show where I can say EVERY EPISODE IS RELEVANT TO THE ACTUAL STORY. There are no filler episode at all and every single one is enjoyable. There was not one episode that I thought was bad or "oh, they could've done better." This is one of my favorite shows and has deeply moved me. Whether it's Nathan Scott becoming a better person, Brooke Davis opening her heart, Peyton Sawyer finding who she is, Haley James living her dream, or Lucas Scott defying all odds as the underdog and proving himself to be destined for greatness. I highly recommend this show to everyone. It is amazing and I can 95% guarantee that you'll be hooked by the end of the first episode.
Nancy Drew I wanted to review this series before I was even close to finishing it. I watched every single episode in my bed yet I felt like I was one of the characters in Tree Hill. The plot, script, actors and settings were so perfectly put together. I could never imagine Chad Michael Murray acting the role that he did and I can't say I'm disappointed in the slightest as he did it so well. As always, he made every viewer squeal and fall in love but how could anyone say that they weren't charmed by the other Scott brother at any stage? Payton's character was very thought out and creative. Brooke was just like every other average teenage girl but wanting to be part of their group was something I thought about frequently. They always had a great time together. They had their ups and downs and I admired how much it resembled a real life friendship. A heap of the time I felt just like Payton and other times I felt like I had a bit of Brooke in my personality too. They were both lovely, caring girls. They'd fight, argue and bicker but if something went wrong the other was always there to help. It was disappointing to see Luke and Payton leave Tree Hill in one of the last seasons. They were a huge part of this series too me and it was saddening to watch the other characters live normally with out them. One Tree Hill has made a huge impact in my life, it moved me. It made me, happy, upset, frustrated, annoyed, angry, loving, caring. It made me feel a lot.
