what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

Oggy and the Cockroaches - Light in the night Today, when jap and other fighting cartoons took down the standard (that's level was originally set up by legendary classics) under the cellar this one gives hope and good amusement even over kid age. Yes, Oggy and the cockroaches is actionful as well, but a good and up-to-date remake of the traditional cat-mouse chase. Its visual ideas and sound effects affect absurd and may grotesque, but they run on the old tracks of Tommy and Jerry or such other cult. Incredible gags and burlesque-situations make this cartoon classic of its age. The Oggy series are maybe disliked by lot of cartoon viewers, and disinterested for kids. This is simply to explain: this cartoon needs lot of so-called previous studies. The viewer shall grown up on Tommy and Jerry and old chase-cartoons, and so feels Oggy a modern answer on them. A nice parallelism: you wont understand or enjoy the modern arts without knowing the classics. Knowing them gives a basement to build on and enjoy the new ideas and the absurd covers of old patterns. It is maybe paradox, but the viewer of this simple-like show must have erudition in patterns of traditional cartoons and films. Without these the viewer wont understand the incredible ideas, the grotesque art of the situations.Constantine Wolf critic, Hungary

it was a cold, hungover Sunday morning after a heavy night of drinking out on the town when laying in the couch, i switched onto Swedish kanal 5 - and, oggy was on the TV. i had a headache, i've always loved cartoons and best of all - there was no language, just sound effects and expressions. instantly, i was hooked.so hooked, i've been collecting episodes :) it was impossible to find a complete episode list, but - i managed to build one, from German episode lists and collecting items along the way - with the release of the DVD, it cleared up a few unknowns :) now, i proudly show my oggy collection on my website...to date, i have all 156 episodes; however, i still seek two with English titles and non German dubbed audio - my quest goes on! there has been a release on DVD, however, it is only the first 60 episodes; those DVD's sit nicely in my cupboard. classic cartoons.

What more can i say. This serie is great! I love it and i hope it will be able to find on DVD. If not, we will have to download episodes via Imesh, Kaaza or other filesharing programs. Dont want to destroy for the creators, but if its not going to be released on video or DVD, youll have to use your Kaaza

The title of this review pretty well sums up my opinion of Oggy & The Cockroaches. And one other thing...at least I learned how to say "cockroach" in French, from reading the info about this show here.
