Synopsis

What happens in the food world when a bad employee starts to take down an otherwise thriving establishment or when restaurant owners suspect someone of not doing their job appropriately? Reviews

MusicChat It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Allison Davies The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Parker Lewis Much has been written about the authenticity of Mystery Diners but it's a lot of fun, and entertaining seeing the undercover work that would make the NSA, CIA and Jason Bourne proud for sure.Running a restaurant is a tough business and profit margins (if any) are thin, and you can see the distress of the restaurant owners as they seek to right the wrongs inflicted by ne'er-do-wells who think they know how to do the right thing. In most cases the offenders get fire and surprisingly no unions are involved, no picketing, no social media outrage. This is really the tough love version of Undercover Boss.
jnbbookworm Our only complaint... it's not on often enough. We've seen all the negative reviews, and it can only be surmised that the folks writing the very poor reviews are precariously like those thieves being caught on the program. Why else take such a negative stance on a program that gives the viewer/consumer insight as to what unfortunately takes place when dining out at times. Swindlers protecting swindlers if you will. My family and friends love this program. Even though some scenes may seem staged, we see it as a necessary part of programming to inform the viewer of the progressing story line. Season 12 Episode 6, "From Russia Without Love" had an extremely satisfying ending. We'll say no more, as we don't want to spoil it for the viewer, but if you get a chance to watch this one, grab it. This program is an eye opener for those of us who still believe "honesty is the best policy." Watch and learn people.
Carol O This show is so obviously fake that watching it makes my stomach turn. The contrived situations are too over-the-top to be believable, and the acting is atrocious. As a viewer, to be fed such garbage is insulting. I am baffled by The Food Network's decision to ignore the repeated viewer requests to stop this show's production. Their decision also leads me to question the veracity of the network's other shows. The producers are demonstrating that they value moronic fabrications over thoughtful portrayals of authentic situations. Please join me in letting The Food Network know that continuing to air such junk will lead only to a decline in their ratings.
blogzillla Quit scamming people Hollywood. It's why I no longer pay to see your SHI*T!!!What legal implications are involved with producers who offer no disclaimer and charade their programs as pretending to be real. It is ridiculous they are not held accountable.I don't understand why the producer can't be sued considering he does not offer a disclaimer that the program has faked scenarios.Just know something people ---You can't make a "reality" show without making it fake. It's impossible, because what you see takes careful planning and organization. Scenes have to be edited, actors have to know what to say (scripts), scenes have to be re-shot, they use make-up artists, caterers and times of events have to be arranged and scheduled FOR EVERY PRODUCTION, whether it charades as a "reality" TV show or it's a feature film
