leonritzert Huge leaps of logic, none sense plots and just a terribly constructed show. If you can turn off your brain it might be enjoyable, if not not so much. It isnt funny enough to be only a comedy show. After ep. 5 season1 it was enough. The actions of the characters dont make any sense what so ever. None. People ask themselves how monk solves these cases? Plot constrcution. It has no authenticity. Same goes for the episodes before that. Maybe i am taking this show too serious, but tbh as i said earlier it isnt funny enough to be only a comedy show.

gwiesner My only regret is that they are not re-running all of the episodes. I have missed this show tremendously and am enjoying it even more than the first time around. It is charming, clever and something most of the family can watch. It is not intended to be an exercise in deep thought or intellectual pursuit. It is a comedy, and the self-proclaimed critics with negative views expose their ignorance by trying to make it into something it is not intended to be. The writing includes a variety of comedy types, and, as does the best comedy, includes some heartbreak.

psychoala The best Show ever in my list i was not sure about it in the beginning but i loved it Great acting performance andgreat plot great detective skills and you can't hate this beloved series it s from the best series in the whole world the story is great but the ending is not that good because it was somehow poorly ended wish it was different but the whole process of solving thecase is genius and how they did the character and catchphraseslike you ll thank me later and more than i can think about it Tony Shalhoub is a genius in inhabiting the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of this character. I myself am an obsessive-compulsive, and he gets the experience of suffering from this disease exactly. I watch this show regularly. It's therapeutic (partly because I get all the OCD jokes and get to laugh at myself) - and HILARIOUS, even if you don't know anything about OCD! Shalhoub completely deserves the Best Actor Emmy and SAG Awards he's won for this role. Shalhoub's sweet, anxious genius, Adrian Monk, is dead- on. And Bitty Schram as his nurse is also hilarious and so marvelous! I highly recommend you watch this show!
