BootDigest Such a frustrating disappointment
Micitype Pretty Good
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Caryl It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties. It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.
david-thor As noted, the animation style is a throwback to the 1960's, yet the episodes are perfectly modern, filthy and funny, especially Pigeon. The third season episodes were often weak, in my opinion, because they were rushed - how are you supposed create a whole story in about 10 minutes? Yes. I know the geniuses at Warner Bros/Looney Tunes could do that, but I bet they had far larger support staffs to help them, and some of their work really pushed the envelope by the standards of their day (and I think some of them were on drugs half the time). The last episode of the third season, "The Farmer's Daughter", had me laughing as hard as early episodes of South Park, and it easily bears re-watching, in fact I think some of the jokes are so subtle that you have to listen a few times to catch them. I hope they can write more 30-minute episodes next season and are given the money and other resources to do that. And don't even get me started on Deezy!
murph072278 I have always been a fan of Mike Tyson, must be from playing punch out so much when I was a kid. This show is an amazing concept, the idea of Mike Tyson solving mysteries in Scooby Doo fashion is hilarious. I was actually shocked when I first learned that Tyson does the voice because the show seemed to be making fun of him a lot. I like how in every episode Mike gets a different strange idea in Mike's head that leaves at the end of the episode such as "flight or fight," or "you have to stand on a table for people to listen to you." I also really like the other characters especially Pigeon. The only downside to the show is that each episode is only about 10 minutes long so you can get through the whole season in just a couple of hours.
jacobbillingham I have always been a fan of adult swim and this show is one of my favorites. It has its fair share of gags but also has its witty moments. The writers purposefully implement hard lines for Mike to read and he constantly screws them up in humorous ways such as when he tries to say "Chupacabra". The voice acting is great and the Mike Tyson jokes never get old. I'm excited to see how the show develops. The gay ghost in the show seems to be the voice of reason for Mike, trying to help him think out situations and control his emotions. Pigeon is an alcoholic asshole who does his own thing, and Mike's Asian American daughter Yung Hee is a very intelligent young girl constantly having to put up with Mike and his antics. To keep it brief, Mike Tyson Mysteries is not the average ridiculous Adult Swim cartoon and I see it as a great add on to the networks line up.
Nicholas Kerbow This show is like no other, a hilarious cast, and some sort of parody of Scooby-Doo, this show has a good chance at becoming a hit cartoon show. The fact that almost everything in the show has something to do with either boxing or Mike (some of which is cleverly hidden in the show), just makes it all the more interesting. On the other hand, the show does have a few out of place or just completely random scenes, but it will still get a laugh out of you. There are also a few things that haven't been explained in the show yet; like how a pigeon ended up with a brain of a human? A ghost ending up staying with Mike? or even how Mike ends up with an Asian child? (other than the fact he found her on his door steps). This show has the potential to at least reach a few seasons. I recommend it to anyone who loves Mike Tyson or just wants to get a good laugh.
