Voxitype Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.
Tayloriona Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
WillxD To All the readers out there. This series got me on the edge of my seat all the time. The story line was great example of great directory and writing,Im looking forward towards season 2 hopefully.I have no bed reviews just because i fell in love straight away with Midnight Texas!!P.s To all the writers giving bad reviews i hope you all have a brain because there is more people out there who love this stuff and you guys are the ones who don't allow other seasons to come out at all.
carolinabarnes I think I may have had a little too high expectations for this show and a 6 is being very generous...I really REALLY wanted to love this, but after watching the first season I can only look back and cringe... a lot. The story and plot have so many holes and the writing jumps all over the place leaving so many unanswered questions. Like, why does a character's hair suddenly become totally chopped off in the middle of a fight scene?!?!?! Silly bloopers like this annoy me.I was a big fan of True Blood and Midnight Texas is, unfortunately, nothing like it. To put it aptly, Midnight Texas is more like some Buffy spin-off with bad costume makeup and acting to match. I feel like I've been sent back to the 90s!Regardless, I think this show will be a massive hit with the tweens. It is still enjoyable and you definitely want to find more about some of the characters (e.g. sexy Jason Lewis from SATC playing a gay angel *.*) what more could you want?
mkh102 This show is enjoyable and light. It is easy to watch and I look forward to it each week. I don't have to concentrate to follow the story-line and just find it a good and fun show. I like all the characters except for Manfred's girlfriend Creek. Not a lot to be said about it really, there is something different going on each week alongside the ongoing story of impending doom. I wish IMDb didn't make you write 5 lines, really does anyone read the long-winded reviews the wannabe critics leave? I like what I like, I don't need to read a load of other's opinions to decide if I watch something or not.
vsting66 Not to pile on, but...ugh. The writing stinks, excruciatingly painful dialogue, anorexic plot/character development, crappy special effects, high school level acting (which is surprising to me, where at least 2 actors are concerned, since I've seen them do so much better in other movies/shows), there is no sense of urgency in scenes where they should be raising the stakes, and, as far as chemistry goes...I've seen more of that in a bag of Doritos. I almost get the sense that this show is a throwaway for NBC, just summer filler, and even the actors know it, but at least there's a paycheck in it for them, so, meh. I wish NBC would pay me for the time I squandered watching this dreck. Oh, Francois, if you're reading this, I am very sorry...but you're SO much better than this.
