Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Isbel A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Jenni Devyn Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
Rogue-32 This was on the Sundance Channel after the film festival coverage program they've been running every night, and I figured I'd watch a little bit of it anyway, to see if it was any good. I wound up watching the whole thing, much to my pleasure. This episode featured Michael Stipe and Mario Batali, and it turned out to be a revealing look at Stipe, in particular: we see him living his life as a 'normal' person, in many different situations, and he comes off splendidly caring, thoughtful and human. My favorite line of his was when Mario asked him what the difference was between his on-stage persona and his off-stage life: "I don't know who I am up there," he said. That made sense to me.
