Synopsis

It's back-to-school mayhem with Kaname Chidori and her war-freak classmate Sousuke Sagara as they encounter more misadventures in and out of Jindai High School. But when Kaname gets into some serious trouble, Sousuke takes the guise of Bonta-kun - the gun-wielding, butt-kicking mascot. And while he struggles to continue living as a normal teenager, Sousuke also has to deal with protecting his superior officer Teletha Testarossa, who has decided to take a vacation from Mithril and spend a couple of weeks as his and Kaname's classmate.

CommentsXp Best movie ever!
Kaelan Mccaffrey Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
Mandeep Tyson The acting in this movie is really good.
Matho The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
JDreviews i don't think I've ever laughed so much at each episode of an anime. This show is rather short, and has no plot to speak of, the characters basically just fool around and get into trouble. The first show in the series, Full Metal Panic!, is split between comedy and action adventure, Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu is pure comedy. Most anime comedies mix comedy together with more drama like elements (romance, drama etc) this show does not, all it try's to do is make you laugh, which it does an excellent job at, only bringing in romantic elements very rarely. The shows characters are incredibly endearing and I was never bored with them. This show is very good at slapstick comedy, and since that's all it strives for, I can't really say that anything is wrong with it, because it doesn't have a lot of elements to it, but the ones it has it's very good at, so if slapstick is what you like, you will love this show.
Paco Eltaco The sequel to Full Metal Panic, this series takes a new approach to the story. This time there are no mechs, and the Mithil organization takes a step back. Though nothing is truly cut completely, many characters make guest appearances and generally cause general chaos. There are many new characters as well, several of which are never fully explained. This doesn't matter too much, as they are the main source of new situations for Kaname and Souske. I found that the series started off well, and got better and better as it went on. The first episode was probably the closest to the original Full Metal Panic style comedy. From there however, the stories get more and more outlandish. The series actively states that it's worried that fans of the original might not like how outlandish it becomes. However, with the soon to be released third sequel series, it shouldn't be a problem. My biggest question is, where can i get the chemical from the last episode?
au_law2001 After Full Metal Panic, one might ask, what is happening with Sagara and Kaname now? Well, this one explains it, well almost, albeit a comedic way, basically, this is more of a spin-off or side story and has nothing to do with the mechs or the action though some familiar characters such as Mao, Weber, Kalinin, Richard, and especially Tessa do make appearances in several episodes, and it mostly focuses on how Sagara does in living a normal teenage life, and still has the military mentality he always had, especially when challenged by the karate club, or thinking that the love letter he got was a bomb, and he still uses his weapons and gadgets he had during the first series! But mostly it's all comedy, no mech fights here, but maybe a little gun fighting, albeit non-lethal, but it is still promising, up to the last episode, you get a ton of laughs, recommended to it's fans, and be sure to watch The Second Raid, which continues the Full Metal Panic story. By the way, a few episodes weren't shown in syndication as the rest due to a kidnapping, the episode had a familiar scenario, so it was pulled off.
gooch2006 In Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu! the episodes are shorter and more comical with less action and suspense involved, though some opinions may vary about how good it is. I myself like the military aspect of the original plot. But if you seen the first Full Metal Panic? at the end it talks about insurance at the last episode and just ties into Fumoffu. Though its more about high school life with Sousuke being Sousuke and with Kaname keeping him in line, though there are action parts its not really as suspenseful as the first but there are newer weapons and greater laughs. In the first few episodes Teletha Testarossa appears for vacation and goes to school with them and later goes away with. With those facts in mind I hope you can come up with your own conclusion by yourself. My opinion on the matter is its a fair show that is comical and pleasing to any anime fan. The only smack about it is that its short shows are well to short. Its basically like any second season of any basic anime show. I do like the original and the TSR which in my opinion are a little bit better then Fumoffu.
