Steineded How sad is this?

Acensbart Excellent but underrated film

TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

Yeah, Nick Lane, I know that feeling.I think it's amazing how they were able to capture in this quote not only Fringe itself, but also how life works to me. You can't watch the events involving the FBI agent Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv) without realizing how this is a very important message for the show, ever since she faces a very strange case about a plane crash on the first episode. The way to solve the case is to go looking for this famous scientist, Walter Bishop (John Noble), who is institutionalized because of some mental issues. And that also leads her to the scientist' son, Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson), who has been living all around the world, dealing with traffic and some bad stuff, because only he can free his father from the institution.That way, they formed the Fringe Division inside FBI, a special division focused on investigating some science-related crimes that couldn't get to the general public. The Fringe division also had Agent Astro... Aspirin... Astrix... Astrid! A lovely and incredibly intelligent woman, played by Jasika Nicole, and the one responsible for the Fringe Division inside FBI, the Special-Agent Phillip Broyles (Lance Reddick). Along the way, almost all the cases as related somehow to a big worldwide technology company, Massive Dynamic, which brings us to Nina Sharp (Blair Brown), someone who you'll need a lot of time to decide weather you like and trust her or not. Oh, and how to forget about Gene? Especially in final episode...Anyway, J.J. Abrams and the other directors had done a great job with the TV Show, giving us a kind of complex, well-constructed and emotional backstory to the characters. They're continuously showing us how strong the relationship grows between the character as they keep travelling through alternative realities and trying to prevent the both worlds to end, thanks to a very special event that happened long ago in the past.Of course the show has its lows, but the highs... There is simply no way one can finish watching the series and not feel completely touched and changed from the inside out after all the proofs of caring, redemption, forgiveness, hope and, above all, love.And there's no other way to finish this than to wish a White Tulip for everyone of us. Have a nice life, people.

mkaraman-74329 I had started watching Fringe when it aired in my country, and at first, I didn't really understand ... I decided to watch again from the beginning. Dr.Walter Bishop's character was the best acted and John Noble is great. Like any great TV drama, Fringe deserves a film at the end. This is one of my favorite shows because it has some interesting religious ideas. In my opinion, Fringe is the best show in the science fiction category on T.V.

annie I loved this story and John Noble is just beyond amazing as an actor. You can almost think he must have a personality like Walter, because he is so convincingly a fragile genius, until the alternate world Walter. Just a captivating story! I think this is one of the best shows out there.

ayesha_lea This started out with lots of promise, but got too bogged down in alternate options, time lines.. would have been better to have more "stand alone"episodes that didn't twist reality so much but dealt with the weird and wonderful. It started to not even make sense, and left subjects pursued in depth hanging, never to be returned to complete the story! Great characters though, well developed and believable. it felt like the writers didn't know where else to go with thoughts/scripts so just wrote something completely different and left the last thought incomplete. Result being the continuity was almost non existent in the later seasons.
