This show made me cry almost every episode. It might be just another cop show on the surface, but it was all about the characters. Both the regular crew we followed each week, laughed and cried with and occasionally mourned the losses with. But also the villains and victims of each week's story. Nothing was ever just black and white. Everybody had their own reasons for doing what they did and the show did a great job of digging down into human psychology and uncovering the story behind the human actions. Usually I'm more of a fantasy/supernatural kind of girl and I've never given a "regular" cop show a perfect rating and doubt I will again. But the acting and writing of this show is nothing less than perfect. I actually feel sad about not being able to follow these people's lives anymore.

This is an absolutely brilliant series. I still watch this show all the time and wish it never ended! I can never look away or stop watching every minute of every show has my full attention.Genius cast; love all of them. 10 stars all around; not sure why this show isn't blasting with 10 stars as the overall rating! 7.7 ??? Really?? Definitely a 10 star deserved show! By far my favorite show. This show wasn't like any other police shows; it was like a combination of a few of them with more twists and suspense. You get into the mind of everyone on the show; the citizens in the situations and the officers as well. This show gives you a different perspective also; police do not always enjoy what they have to do but they have a job to do and not an easy one. And on top of that they are regular people with family and friends and problems they have to deal with of their own along with seeing the worst people are capable of on a daily basis. Such a great show. I can't say it enough!

SPOILER!!!!!!!!!season 1-4 its so action and little of love, but season 5 is a lot of drama, and love and sadness. I LOVE SEASON 5 FINALE THE BEST because Jules and SAM are finally together. have a baby together, i knew from the start that those two are meant for each other. and Ed with his son Clark and baby girl relationships. and Winnie with mike and Greg with Marina together,its good to see love scenes in this kind of show, IT's sad for LOU AND DONNA , i really like their character why would they kill them off.i wish they keep on going with this show, but i guess ever show has a end, i have all season on DVD . so i will be watching this series every year, or maybe early,

Really love this show. Great acting, chemistry, and writing. As that is rare in a show these days. As it shows the Toronto's SRU team. A SWAT version of Canada. As they go through physical, mental, and emotional grinds to get the job done.As they have to face up with some actions that they do that they, wished that they could take back. As they are in split second decisions. But they have to take the bullet in order to protect the safety.Also it deals with their personal lives. In order for their families to relate to what they do. As one of them is divorced. And how the long hours and days can get to them. But they do it to protect Canada.It was filmed in Canada in order to show realism and mostly all of the actors are made up of Canadian actors and actresses to show realism. Wished that the show would had gone on longer than five years.A show that is gritty yet excellent!
