Synopsis

The Diclonius, a mutated homo sapien that is said to be selected by God and will eventually become the destruction of mankind, possesses two horns in their heads, and has a "sixth sense" which gives it telekinetic abilities. Due to this dangerous power, they have been captured and isolated in laboratories by the government. Lucy, a young and psychotic Diclonius, manages to break free of her confines and brutally murder most of the guards in the laboratory, only to get shot in the head as she makes her escape. She survives and manages to drift along to a beach, where two teenagers named Kouta and Yuka discovers her. Having lost her memories, she was named after the only thing that she can now say, "Nyuu," and the two allow her to stay at Kouta's home. However, it appears that the evil "Lucy" is not dead just yet...

PodBill Just what I expected
VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
Brenda The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
farzinsalimi Excellent show ! Shocking, sad, artistic and so poetic ... . it will take u on a long road of emotions. very tragic story. Awesome plot and the story wasn't prolonged which is a rare thing in a show and a good thing. Heartbreaking ending and the best ost i ever heard. I recommend to you. If you didn't see this, start now !
infinitysteel Very complex story about a race of powerful mutant beings, represented by the Diclonius Queen,Lucy. Accursed by a corporation that is headed by a betrayer of humanity-Lucy escapes her captors. Pushed beyond the brink of emotional endurance in her childhood by human cruelty, Lucy uses her powers to commit horrible murders. Including the family of the one who will become her greatest friend. This series is somewhat altered and condensed from the original manga. In the end, Lucy is redeemed by unconditional love. I watched the last episode over and over. The series also contains a few really good comedy scenes of day to day life as her counterpart, Nyu.I'm trying to not totally spoil the series for those of you who have never watched it. So this is all of the detail I am going to go into. But I do want to make it clear that the gory parts are not just there frivolously.Lynn Okamoto is genius at story telling. I have never seen an anime I liked more!
kiranadith Very nice anime I wish there were more episodes and Lynn Okamoto continue this but there is only 13 episodes, but these episodes contain all emotions that one would find in any long anime, contains a lot of bloodshed, gore, mutilation, feels, love etc.If you are looking for an anime that will make you cry your heart out then this is the one. This anime won't let you down for sure it will take you for a ride you have never been on.The opening song is really great know as Lilium the theme of the opening song is the theme played when Kotha ( the protagonist )opens his music box. He meets Lucy at an young age. Lucy on the other hand is bullied by everyone in her school for having horns and is even let down by the girl she thought as a friend she then goes on a rampage when she sees her pet stray puppy being beat down by her bullies and kills them all. she then takes a vow to kill everyone. When she is sitting down near a tree where she buried her dog she meets Kotha and is about to kill him when she is stooped by Kohta been amused by the horn on her head she takes a liking for him and they go out and play but each night Lucy murders a family to live in their home. The story goes on, the manga on the other hand is different from the anime and is more longer and elaborate with more characters it too will make you cry at the end.Hope you enjoy
lmbangaye This is one of the best animes I have ever watched. It show the triumph of humanity over all things and gives the viewer a glimpse into those things that really make one human. Though the focal character, Lucy, is in fact a murderer with reasons unclear, by the end of this admittedly short series one has a feeling of understanding when she clearly says I have killed no human with these arms (I'm paraphrasing). The setting together with the mood of the story and haunting song create a general feeling of transcendence. In the end it left me feeling at peace and with a lot to think about which I think is the goal of any good work of art.
