Synopsis

E-Ring is an American television military drama, created by Ken Robinson and David McKenna and executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, that premiered on NBC on September 21, 2005. The title of the show refers to the structure of The Pentagon, which is configured in five concentric rings, from "A" to "E", with E being the outermost ring. Before any military action can be taken anywhere in the world the mission must be planned and approved by the most important ring of the Pentagon, the E-ring. This is where the more high-profile work is done, all operations must be legally approved and the green light given by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The show starred Benjamin Bratt as Major James Tisnewski, a former Delta Force operator and Dennis Hopper as Colonel Eli McNulty, as officers working in the E-ring of the Pentagon in the Special Operations Division – planning and co-ordinating covert US special operations actions around the globe. The show struggled from the onset because it was up against ABC's Top 20 hit Lost, CBS's Top 30 hit Criminal Minds, FOX's Top 10 hit American Idol and the network's Top 30 hit Unan1mous. Although NBC gave it an earlier time slot which led to better ratings, the show was pulled from the lineup during the February sweeps and officially canceled at the NBC Upfront on May 15.

VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
Humaira Grant It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
njricky I really enjoyed the show, E-Ring. I am a veteran of 26 years military service and got to work briefly at the Pentagon and found the show to be very authentic.I have not heard if the show is coming back and would be extremely disappointed if NBC does not bring it back. All the actors are superb and I have been a huge Dennis Hooper fan since the 60's. Benjamin Bratt is very talented and does add a lot the the show. The rest of the cast are superb also. Please bring back.Thank You
fwgrhouse This is one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. I'm a big fan of military- style movies and TV shows and e-ring is just the movie for anyone interested in military style shows. This show is pretty much the same as the west wing only it deals with the military, so instead of having the white house you have the pentagon, instead of government officials you have military officials, instead of the president you have the joint chiefs of staff, and instead of handling with laws, you handle with planning missions. I feel that it gives a good idea with how the military works because it takes you into the pentagon itself. I really hope that they come back with new episodes and not replace it with some stupid comet like my name is earl or the office.
Ardy G I love this show, it's entertaining and kinda sticks a little bit to the reality of the real world. The only military show TV had in the past recent years was JAG on CBS, which was not even close to the actual reality of the military and what happens in it. E-rings stars are veteran stars with many years of acting under there belts. I hope the audience pick up on it, because most people change the channel when they see people in uniform. There is a little bit of romance flowing in the hallways of the Pentagon between the Major and the attorney, and that is just enough to keep it interesting. I really don't have much else to add, but the program requires me to input ten lines before I can submit my comment. I think I made it.
W F Richardson I cant seem to catch sight long enough to see if she has 3 or 4 hash marks (one for each 4 years of service) but I do see one thing that never has(or ever will) happened in the USMC. E-8 and not one (1) good conduct ribbon. Come on. Also there is the little thing of the security clearance. This position requires a minimum of a Top Secret/Single Scope Background investigation and I know from personal experience that with no good conduct ribbons she would never have been given that position. Whoever is doing the technical stuff on this program (as with most military programs) is missing out on a lot of stuff.). I did 26 years in the US Navy and these military shows are popular with us old guys just so we can pick out the errors. Also her ribbons are out of precedence order. Give this woman her proper honors.
