Reviews

Colibel Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.
Micitype Pretty Good
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Jonah Abbott There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
kimmorrison01 I think that CSI: New York is unique among the franchise because it is the only one of the shows that I feel that the city is a character. In the original the city is a part of the show but it could be transfered to any other flashy city ( like LA or other cities). I think that New York City forces itself into being a character because of the size of the population being in such a small space. In every episode of CSI: NY you see a landmark of the city because if you travel anywhere in NYC you are bound to pass a recognizable landmark, or two or even three. I believe that NYC is a vital part to the chemistry of that show. I think that Sela Ward is a nice addition to the cast but does not replace the Stella character, played by Melina Kanakaredes. I think that Sela's Jo is a flushed out personality of her own and brings a more realistic romantic/unromantic tension with Mac than Stella's character ever did. I think that it is unfortunate that not more people are watching this show.
crni_sin I really did not like much this CSI NY and Miami thing, as I considered it big "de ja vu" in every take. There were lots of seen things, as these were already told stories more or less... yet episode role of French music student in Unfriendly chat is quite refreshing, and kept me stuck in front of the TV. I liked the "sayonara" thing...I was little disappointed for this was too short of a sequence.I first thought it is a young Mexican actress, as dark hair and a bit slower accent could make it, then I saw who played, and surprise was a maximal because there are few good actors in the South-East Europe region (if you exclude Bella Lugosi).Yet, I think this could be very good show, as this is excellent idea, to introduce models in every episode. Of-course model who can really act, as this one. Really amazing. Refreshing.Music is very catchy too...
elshikh4 After (CSI), they made (CSI: Miami) and (CSI: NY). To have what exactly ? I know. More of the exploitive cheap horror that they make nowadays under the name of "Crime Shows" ! It's frankly sadistic, enjoying – in disgusting details – showing every single deformity could hurt the human body. BUT WHY ????!!!!! Does that make money these days ?!! Apparently yes. Then what a twisted producers and viewers this world has !! Did you notice any acting around ? THEY'RE ALL ROBOTS who read, Just read, their lines with freaky coldness. What a damn easy money these actors make !Originally did you notice any characters? The only crime this show didn't solve is the crime of killing its leads and turning them into the coolest pods ?! Actually, in terms of "making" a character, analyzing anyone or anything, the difference between for instance (Colombo) and (CSI : NY) is the same between real crime show and real crime !Why there is no action ? More accurately nothing gets out of the forever choking triplet "the crime scene, the laboratory, the integration room" ! Is there any inner drama involved ?? It's as flat as a blacktop, yet less useful !2 plots ? Why not using 1 for once ? This is poorness for a 45 min long mystery, causing good confusion, being more like a beggar for attention ! And no need to allude to the dialog, since everybody knows how extremely dull it is. A brotherly advise : be aware of the horrible one-liners; like "wouldn't you love the sheet's smell in the afternoon" (Huh ?!!!). I'm dying to know; while immersing into this ocean of free blood, deliberate gruesomeness and endless ugliness, why – exactly like in CSI: Miami – they didn't hire someone "beautiful" to compensate anything for the poor viewer and to spared an atom of attraction through it ? I mean (Melina Kanakaredes) is not beautiful or nice. Bonasera ? I utterly don't think so !I pity 2 elements: (Gary Sinise)…What do you do here man ?! Making the big easy money for sure! Leave this crap for already dead people like (David Caruso). Sorry to say it, but whatever you do this time will go directly into the toilet, it's forgettable stuff (Hmmm, I love the toilet's reference more !). Moreover the efforts behind the shown mysteries; they are used in the worst series ever, being smart material lost in hell of stupidity. No doubt I prefer reading them apart than watching them THIS WAY !So what's surplus to watch, other than many corpses to slice, many machines to squeak monotonously, and many diseases to cause ?! Tells you a lot about producer (Jerry Bruckheimer)'s desperate need, before the show's fans', to seek serious psychological help ! This is not only violent; it's also tasteless and BAD. Still the most noticeable, rather alarming, thing about it is how it is so loved to the extent of ensuing all of these seasons ?!!!!!If you're that pretty much masochist person who after all of this wants to go and watch (CSI : NY) then, one demand please, when you'll turn into a killer yourself try to aim towards however made this show !A true proof that part of the human in the 2000s has gone inhuman, and he likes it.
TheLittleSongbird I love CSI:NY, and yes I agree that it is better than CSI:Miami. For one thing it is stylishly photographed yes some of the more graphic images may disturb but I don't mind it so much. Secondly, it is brilliantly written, with intelligent dialogue and interesting episode ideas. Thirdly, the music is a real winner for me, the theme tune is very cool, then again it's the Who, what's not to like. Fourthly, the acting is very good, Gary Sinise is a great and I think underrated actor, and he is wonderful as Mac. Melina Kanakaredes looks stunning and acts convincingly which is a major plus in my book, and Carmine Giovinazzo is appealing as Danny. Overall, I love it. 10/10 Bethany Cox
