Micitype Pretty Good
SunnyHello Nice effects though.
Kidskycom It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
dehughes58 Brilliant. Just brilliant. So sorry it wasn't picked up for a second season. It just goes to show how, when it comes to TV series, timing can be everything. I imagine that one of the knocks against it was that its premise was too outlandish. However, given what's going on in Washington at present, that accusation would no longer hold water. In fact, if a series like this were pitched today, it would probably be dismissed as being too on the nose.
tony-57263 Superb TV. The production, direction, acting and presentation is simply excellent. If only all TV could be this way. I was hooked from the first show. But (oh, there's always a but), one soon realise that this is heavily evangelical piece. Supposedly a bipartisan laugh at both sides of politics, one soon realises that 99% of the baddies are on the Right and 99% of the goodies are on the Left. Endless anti-Trump jokes, (fair enough, its political humour) but not one precious syllable against the beloved Hillary – lest we take the Frau's name in vain?. Ababy kicks out violently when it hears Trump on the TV, OK that's funny, but how does it react when it hears the voice of Hillary – we will never know. There are a few naughty Democrats, but the real evil characters are all on the Right, and as thing progress, the writers abandon their veils of impartiality with enthusiasm. Of course, the hero is the Republican who realises his evil ways and betrays his party help the Democrats defeat an unjust, unnecessary and racist war. It is a pity that Amazon paid for an expensive piece of Leftist propaganda, and that the makers could not control themselves so that everyone could enjoy it.
contactautismcoach Anything but brain dead, this brilliant TV series is the best show to come along in years! Darkly humorous and fearless, it uses the dark analogy of space bugs infiltrating the brains of people in Washington to illuminate what really goes on in Washington and how great power wielded by fallible humans can go terribly wrong. Running the government, just like making sausages, is not a pretty sight. It also provides the powerful message that is dawning on people across the country; that we need to think for ourselves and not believe what authority figures tell us - their motivations may not be in our best interests. Brilliantly written, acted, directed - it taps right into the insiders view of our current hideous political climate and brilliantly exposes it for the rest of us to see.
SnoopyStyle Laurel Healy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) wants to do her music documentary but she doesn't have the funding. She is forced to work for her brother Democratic Senator Luke Healy (Danny Pino). She hates politics but politics seem to be getting even dumber. The reason is that there are space bugs eating people's brains and taking over. Red Wheatus (Tony Shalhoub) leads the Republican Senate bug-brains. Gareth Ritter works for Red and falls for Laurel. Dr. Rochelle Daudier is investigating her father's death from his head exploding and connects with Laurel who was in the ambulance. Gustav Triplett is a conspiracy nut who suspects the brain eating bugs. The concept is fun, silly, and with enough edge to be compelling and dangerous. The show does try to maintain a little political balance in the beginning by making fun of both sides of the isle and politics in general. Its liberal-bias does show in the end. The production is fun and irreverent. I do have a problem with these characters. They find out that there are space bugs taking over and yet they stop at every half-hearted roadblocks thrown up in front of them. They should at least be posting it all over the net. There is a financial need to keep this little show contained story-wise. In the end, it's fun and irreverent enough to be enjoyable.
