dolahan My humor isn't the best but I feel that since the old Scooby doo has passed it has been either taken too seriously (Scooby doo mystery incorporated, also a good show with a more darker tone and teenage vibe to it) or too childishly (Pup named Scooby doo due to it's over exaggerated style and wacky villains). But I feel this show has a mixture of humor that kids and adults can laugh to. Though they aren't the older Scooby doo gang. I feel the fresh new vibe on the Scooby doo gang might just appeal to the younger and older generation through it's new wit, charm and comedic timing also pointing out the shows cliches other than "you meddling kids" line as well as incorporate more realistic situations, only a little so you won't be banging your head too much. So it's worth a try and and to find out if it reaches your inner child or humor.
alissongomes-72392 Asides the art style, this is a great show that improved a part of the classic Scooby-Doo formula: the comedy. I don't know about the American cast changes, but I do know about the Brazilian ones. Only the Fred voice actor wasn't changed here. It's not worse, the new cast do a nice job, I just don't understand why they changed the cast from "What's new, Scooby-Doo?" that also worked on "Mystery inc.". The designs are understandably hated but it's not noticeable on the go. Also, honestly only Velma looks really uglier. As I said earlier, they improved, and flawlessly, the comedy. The comedy is not absent in the classic formula, the slap-sticky gags and the chase scenes are awesome, not a surprise Scooby-Doo is a success afterall, it's that they try to make you laugh by literally putting jokes now. The characters are also a bit more improved and a bit less clichéd; Fred is now more of an exaggerated leader than a handsome, strong one. Velma didn't actually change that much, but looks nerdier. The Shaggy/Scooby-Doo couple is pretty much the same as well, being the mayor change in the group Daphne. I don't know if I hate or like the new Daphne, although there's nothing that detestable about her new personality. The pacing is the same, I personally enjoy the chase scenes of the classic formula and on this show it's similar to the "What's new" ones, specially the rock 'n' roll soundtrack. The animation is pretty good, it has the same quality level/style of cartoons like Bunnicula and Wabbit; it looks differently, but it's certainly not a lazy work. "Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!" is easily one of the best Scooby-Doo versions, it's equally entertaining and funnier. If you give it a chance, you won't regret it. You know what they say, don't judge a book by its cover. Here's an example.
fowlsfeet The word "abomination" is the only one suitable. I never thought I would disdain Scooby Doo but this incarnation is not worth my time. I may as well be watching Bobs Burgers or any one of the dozens of cartoons that borrow from this "new" animation style. Please stop trying to fix something that isn't broken and restore Scooby and the gang to their former glory.
aerodblade After the golden beginnings of the 60s,the laugh track filled kooky 80s, the amazing balance between humor and seriousness of the 2000s you'd think it would finally reach the point where the series goes bad but Scooby Doo has still survived the cartoon network effect.I thought in the beginning it'd be a teen titan like reboot with cheesy unfunny and dumb plot but what I got was a show more true to the original yet still so very fresh I got all the good parts of nostalgia and none of the sadness from it. The art style may be lacking which is common for 90 percent of western animated shows these days but the writing and characters more than make up for it.The gang is just like you remember with the one noticeable change, the fact that Daphne Blake,is not just the 'pretty girl' fashionista/damsel in distress anymore she has her own personality and is honestly the shining beacon of most episodes playing well with the nerdy Velma, straight man Fred, and the dynamic duo unlike in previous series where she was just kinda there for being there and giving the viewers token eye candy all in all deserves a watch if you want a show to see with your toddlers or are an old Hanna Barbera fan
