Mandeep Tyson The acting in this movie is really good.
haxleyandrew Before i start talking about Arthur i would like to tell everyone how much i liked Arthur. At first i watched it and the first time i saw it. It was good all around. Not because of the story or plot. But because it's supposed to be something educational that they show to kids. But when i saw some bullying and taunting in it. We had to turn it off. Looks like it does not seem appropriate for us. And broadcasting this type of thing seems to be out of control. It's ridiculous how the bullying and violence seems to get out of control. Some of the characters yell at each other and are mean and talk violently to each other one by one. This show by far is not my favorite and i will tell you why. First off Arthur's something i would not prefer to watch at all. And because of what bullying that Arthur and his sister D.W does to him and tortures him everyday. Second because i would probably prefer to stay away from it. It does not seem like i would even think about watching it at all.Arthur is not a bully and neither he should be one. But in Arthur's big hit he hits his sister because of destroying his paper model airplane which almost makes his dreams come true until his sister wrecks it. Also the use of some language is just something to be preferred not to be watched. Even if it's something that you would want to watch. It's not something that i would wanna watch. Because i would just ignore it and get tired of it. Watching it all day long is not going to be my job. And i would blame the creators and also the people who made it. I mean why would they make this awful TV show based on the lovable aardvark and besides i don't like the show. But i do not want to blame the hero. But why would they show this to little kids. I mean if it's bad. Then i won't waste time watching at all even if i can't help it.Also i can't help but think. That what the producers here are doing here to brainwash the little kids and what they are doing to them. And also what mind did they have before making this show appropriate for kids. No way am i watching this ever again. And i don't even wanna do it anymore and also why would you insist to do this to them. No more of this I'm tired and don't waste to watch this garbage anymore. I am totally not watching anymore of it.Arthur is not a kids show and it points out that this could be worse because of the violence. Never the less am i seeing this again. Unfortunately it did not please me and definitely is something that i would recommend not to see. It's uneducational. It's silly, It's dumb, And of course it promotes bullying and violence. Not something that i would want anybody to see. If this was only a kids show and was educational it could have been something a lot better. But for now! It seriously does not make it.Even though Arthur is a TV SHOW about an aardvark. It's nothing that is okay for kids, The amount of bullying and violence and how D.W. and Arthur fight is intense. This TV SHOW is only recommended for Adults due to the strong violent content and bullying. So i beg you to please not see it if you want to see it so badly. And if you are a parent you might want to take warning and some risks before letting your child watch this show or otherwise it may brainwash them. This TV Show is very violent and is something you will not want to see. Arthur is not a hero, Neither is he good, He terrorizes his sister, Threatens her by punching her and accusing her of destroying his paper model airplane. And of course hates her so much that he does not like her at all. So even though it may look like a kid's show. It is definitely not because of the violence. So it's not a good idea. You may know this also. But Arthur has adult humor tossed into it as well because it's a show for grownups. So the jokes here will be hard for little or young children to understand. Even though it takes away from the fun. Arthur has been airing but because of how many adult jokes this show contains. It's hard to describe how bad it is and it does not matter how good it is. It is not and many of the scenes can be really creepy for some. They might even scare young children too.But the only thing you should be worried about showing your kids here is mostly the bullying, Violent Content, And adult humor, This show is definitely not for the kiddies and is only for grownups. Also the show focuses on violence. What is this coming to, Obviously i do not blame the hero and lovable Aardvark here but people who are trying to brainwash the toddlers into seeing this are just doing it on purpose. I'm telling you to just stay away and avoid this show for a very long time. No matter what you think about it, It's still not suitable. Also do not let your kids see this as a warning. Because it may make it worse.
tab_sel This show has remained my all time favorite show. I'm 14, and I've watched this show since it came out when I was a baby. I grew up watching this show (as well as many other PBS shows), and through every moment in my life, I can always relate to this show. They stick to the surface, make it funny, include real childhood AND adolescent life examples, and yet it still remains safe. My parents like this show, and they're middle aged. This isn't just a children's show; it's a great show for anyone of any age. I'm so glad that they are continuing this show because I watch it all the time! This is a great show that I believe anyone can at least relate to slightly. I think this show has kept my life in balance, as strange as that sounds. This is a great show!!
waiching liu Nominated 18 times and with 7 wins under its belt, Arthur is a great animated show that people of all ages, not just kids can enjoy. When I first saw this, I thought to myself: 'what on earth is this?'. It took me a while to understand what Arthur was about. My first impressions based on the appearances of Arthur and his family members were that they were rodents, but of course Arthur, his younger sister DW, baby sister and his mother and father are indeed aardvarks. However, in real life aardvarks are supposed to have long snouts but hey, this was a cartoon. I wasn't familiar with the books themselves, in fact I wasn't even aware that they'd existed before the cartoon was made and shown on TV. Arthur is a very interesting and rare cartoon, which has a very educational theme running throughout the show. It made a nice change to watch a cartoon that wasn't the typical and over-hyped Manga-esquire Pokémon,Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon rubbish. The plot in Arthur revolves around youngster Arthur himself, his family and friends and the everyday situations and dilemmas they all face. Some episodes would focus on Arthur and his friends together but also other episodes would concentrate on DW, Buster, Francine, Muffy, Sue Ellen and Blinky individually. Each of them realise that they have their own faults and to accept that no one is perfect but that in itself, is what the show successfully does: via those episodes it focuses on the imperfections and difficulties these people- or be it animals, which they are- face and their attempts to address them, whilst at the same time, as they address those difficulties they all learn important lessons in life along the way. In all though the main themes in Arthur are friendship, respect, trust and fun- and fun is what this cartoon is. And whereas this is predominately a kids show, the issues and subject matters in Arthur can also be identified, recognised and understood from an adults point of view because we can easily detect what those issues are and often relate them to real life situations we ourselves or other kids find themselves in. I also like the idea that all the characters in Arthur are of different species, because for me, it is the equivalent of having human characters hailing from various racial backgrounds, coming together and working together, as opposed to working against and hating each other. Hence, Arthur and DW are aardvarks, Buster is a white bunny rabbit, Francine is also an aardvark whose family is poor, Muffy whose dad is rich and Binky- who at first impressions would be mistaken for a bully but is in fact, a gentle, down-to-earth and a very obedient ogre. Arthur is a very good kids cartoon, and whilst it is not a humorous show by any means, it does have a few funny moments and deserves full marks for being very informative, educational and for being moralistic without being patronising to its viewers. Even though i'm 26, this cartoon is one of the best and most under rated, and I for one can empathise with Arthur and his friends because i've been in similar situations myself when I was a kid. Definitely worth giving this a tryOverall Rating: 8.5/10
cgkosw92 I was introduced to the series when i was in my childhood, somewhere in 1998 and i still love the show as much as i did then...my two older sisters were 11 and 14 and were themselves huge fans of the cartoon.adding to the list now is my younger sis who is now about 8.even though i'm a lot older now and both my older sisters are in college we all absolutely love the show!!the characters are simply cool, Buster being my favorite, and the jokes are really funny, innocent and clean..the cartoons are appropriate for any and every age and you don't have to feel awkward or bored or anything during the show.they are a 100% better than the crap we get from cartoon network and stuff...every time an episode gets over there is a big smile on my face(because i enjoyed it and not because it got over) and i'll be eagerly waiting for the next one...i assure you that i loved the show, i still love it and i'll certainly keep loving it....
