Details

The 1993 WWE Survivor Series took place on Thanksgiving Eve, November 24, 1993 at the Boston Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The event featured four tag-team elimination matches and a bout for the Smoky Mountain Wrestling Tag Team Championship. The main event match saw the All-Americans, a team of face wrestlers from the United States, competing against the Foreign Fanatics, a team of heels that represented other countries. In an undercard match, four members of the Hart family competed against Shawn Michaels and a group of masked men. The original plan was for the Harts to face Jerry Lawler, with whom they were feuding, but Lawler was not able to appear at the event.

Nonureva Really Surprised!
Moustroll Good movie but grossly overrated
FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
amanwhorocks 1. I.R.S./Diesel/Rick Martel/Adam Bomb Vs. 1-2-3 Kid/Marty Jannetty/Razor Ramon/Macho Man - Nice one. 7/102. Shawn Michaels & The Knights Vs. Champs: Rock 'N Roll Express - I didn't expect nothing and received a solid match with new champs. 6.5/104. Bam Bam Bigelow/Headshrinkers/Bastion Booger w. some dead chicken in their mouths Vs. 4 Doinks (No!! Two of them are that mentally Ill Bushwackers) - OMG, this was UGLY!! Not even the meat around the ring, but the match strictly sucks. Poor BBB to be part of this s*it. 3/105. The Undertaker/Lex Luger/Steiner Brothers Vs. "The Greatest Mullet in the game" Crush/Yokozuna/Ludvig Borga/Jacques - Hey, that Jacques's manager is Raven! At the end - Taker's Charisma is unbelievable. bh_tafe3 The WWE decided to go back to the traditional format for Survivor Series in 1993, having mainly Survivor Series matches, and no title matches. The night started with a four on four Survivor Series match which combined several feuds going on at the time. In the end the team of Razor Ramon, 1-2-3 Kid, Mr Perfect and Marty Janetty defeating the team of Diesel, Irwin R Shyster, Rick Martel and Adam Bomb. The match came down to 1-2-3 Kid and Janetty vs Rick Martel and Adam Bomb. The Kid pinned Martel with a sunset flip and Janetty then super kicked Adam Bom to win the match for his team with he and the Kid the Survivors. The next match was originally scheduled to be a continuation in the Bret Hart/ Jerry Lawler rivalry, but Lawler was arrested on rape charges and so Shawn Michaels took his spot in the match. And it was the Hart Brothers (Bret, Owen, Bruce and Keith) who defeated Shawn Micheals and his knights with Owen the only Hart eliminated. Owen was very unhappy with Bret at the end of the match, blaming him for his elimination. He had a bit of a point as Bret had left the match for a period after getting thrown out of the ring. He returned only for Owen to run into him, allowing Michaels to pin him.Next up in a strange match, the Heavenly Bodies (Bruce Prichard and Jimmy Del Ray) defeated the Rock n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) to win the Smokey Valley Wrestling Tag Team Titles. This was followed by the team of four Doinks, which was actually The Bushwackers (Butch and Luke) and Men on a Mission (Mabel and Mo) defeating the team of Bam Bam Bigelow, Bastion Booger and the Headshrinkers (Samu and Fatu). The doinks used mischief to win the comedy match, including a water fulled balloon and lots of other water gags. None of the Doinks were eliminated and all four of them pinned Bigelow to end the match. Doink then cuts a wacky promo on the titan tron taunting Bigelow. Can't even describe this. Kind of fun, very silly. This brings us to the main event as the All-Americans Lex Luger, The Undertaker and the Steiner Brothers defeated The Foreign Fanatics (WWE Champion Yokozuna, Ludvig Borga, Quebecer Jacques and Crush). Borga screwed up something really badly in pinning Rick Steiner. Crush was tagged in and then distracted by: RANDY SAVAGE!!!! The Macho Man is here!!! He followed Savage out if the ring and was counted out. Luger took care of Jacques. Yokozuna then pinned Scott Steiner leaving us two on two. The Undertaker sat up after a Banzai drop and he and Yokozuna brawled out of the ring, both men were counted out. So it came down to Borga and Luger. They go back and forth briefly, but Luger gets on top, hits the running fore arm smash and wins the match for his team. USA wins. Then for some reason Santa Claus comes out to the ring to help Luger celebrate. Not a bad match really.Well, this was just a filler event really. It set up some big matches down the road, but didn't resolve any of the issues going in. The in ring action was so-so and some of the gimmicks were farcical. Not a good PPV and one of the weaker ones the WWE had put on to that point.
Playa9978 The Survivor Series exploded from the sold-out Boston Garden on the eve of Thanksgiving on November 24, 1993. I saw this event live, and thought it was decent at best. I will give you the recap in succession: Spoilers ahead, BEWARE!!! The first match pitted Razor Ramon's team vs. IRS's team. The Razor took out IRS in the medium, and then was later knocked off by IRS. That was rather strange, and even lame to an extent. At the end, the 123-Kid and Marty Jannetty pull roll-up pins on Rick Martel and Adam Bomb in a matter of seconds. That Stinks! It could've gone longer and should've been better edited at this point. Most of the action is at the early stages, and they're not very interesting. Rating CThe Second match features "The Hart Family vs. "Shawn Michaels and 3 Knights". This match was okay, but rather dull in the beginning moments of the bout. No one cares for these three men with masks, and nobody gives a damn about loser brothers helping Bret and Owen (the only stars on the good side, with Shawn Michaels on the heels). However, after the knights are gone, Shawn Michaels is left all by himself, until things go amiss, and Owen is rolled up into a pin, wounding up as the only Hart brother eliminated from the encounter. Later, Bret and the crew pound Michaels into oblivion and the Heartbreak Kid finally bails, and runs from the ring, ending up a count-out as the end result. The crowd boos, but hey, Shawn Michaels wasn't about to let the Hart brothers destroy his pretty face. He took a good enough beating anyway, and besides, it leaves more to be desired knowing that Michaels got off the hook. Now, back to the match, Bret and two brothers survive, but Owen is p**sed for being the only brother taken out and makes it known. Rating C+The Smokey Mountain tag-team title match stunk, and it was boring. I'm not gonna even bother covering the details of this match. It bores me to even think about it. Rating D-The four Doinks in the form of the Bushwhackers and M.O.M against the team of Bam Bam Bigelow, Bastion Boogar and the Headshrinkers also was poorly scripted. None of the so-called Doinks were eliminated! What kind of crap is that! They weren't that good a team, and where was the real Doink at anyway! This was awful. Rating FThe All-Americans vs. The Foreign Fanatics makes for a better climax sorely needed to salvage a lackluster event. The Steiners are knocked off by the bad guys, and the Undertaker and Yokozuna battle it out to the delight of the crowd. This set up the much anticipated Royal Rumble between the Undertaker and Yokozuna for the world title in the months to come. Back to the action, Ludvig Borga and Lex Luger get it on at the end, and though Luger suffers greatly, he manages to regain his composure and defeat Borga to close out the match as the sole survivor. Suddenly, Santa Claus runs out with a present to give the winner. Don't know what that was about. Rating B
Big Movie Fan In my opinion the last truly great Survivor Series was the 1991 event. The Survivor Series events from 1987-1991 were brilliant events with really great matches and phenomenal crowds. Survivor Series events from 1992 onwards have been quite average. This was a pretty decent card. The 4 Doinks VS Bam Bam Bigelow's Team was quite an entertaining match if you like comedy and wrestling together. And the opening match pitting Razor Ramon's Team VS The Model's Team was a reasonable match.Bret Hart and his brothers VS Shawn Michaels and the 3 Knights was an okay match. Jerry Lawler should have captained the 3 Knights but for complicated reasons he didn't wrestle that night and Shawn Michaels took his place. This match was remarkable in parts. The main event was The All-Americans VS The Foreign Fanatics. It was as good as one would expect.I'd say Survivor Series '93 was worth at least one look.
