WasAnnon Slow pace in the most part of the movie.
Nonureva Really Surprised!
TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
nick_6100 I thought this SmackDown! Pay Per View was probably the best "Talent Used" one of the year for the SmackDown! brand. By that I mean they had good talent on the show.1. Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio defeated. The Dudley Boyz in a excellent opening match on Judgement Day. Rating: 6.6/10 ( C + )Kurt Angle pops up from something and he says "If Torrie Wilson loses tonight then she will be FIRED!"2. Torrie Wilson defeated. Dawn Marie in a match that was kind of good at times but both were just used for eye-candy.Rating: 4/10 ( D - )3. Mordecai defeated. Scotty 2 Hotty in is debut. Mordecai should have feuded with someone like Booker T or something, I hate Wrestlers like 270 pounds sqaushing Cruiserweights.Rating: 4/10 ( D - )4. Charlie Haas and Rico w/Miss Jackie defeated. Hardcore Holly and Billy Gunn in a Comedy Match by Rico, Rico made me laugh so much. Haas and Rico retain the Tag Titles at Judgement Day.Rating: 5/10 ( D )5. Chavo Guerrero w/Chavo Classic defeated. Jaqueline to win the Cruiserweight Championship in an Intergender match. This match was pointless. After the match Chavo Sr. insults Jacqueline and kicks her in the tummy a few times. Rating: 4/10 (D - )6. John Cena defeated. Rene Dupree to retain the United States Championship in a very average match/Rating: 5/10 ( D - )7. The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer defeated. Booker T Was expected to be one of the best matches on the card, but yet failed again, even though the Talent was used well on this PPV.Rating: 5/10 ( D -)8. John "Bradshaw" Layfield defeated. Eddie Guerrero via Disqualification for the WWE Championship. I just have one word to describe this match: "Blood!" Lots of Blood was spilt in this match with Eddie taking his aggression out on Bradshaw. Rating: 6/10 ( C )Judgement Day 2004 Rating: 5 / 10 ( D )The Talent was used great on this PPV but the matches lacked everything.
gridoon In chronological order:1) Rey Mysterio and Rob Van Dam vs. The Dudley Boyz. In terms of technique, probably the best match of the entire show! Rob Van Dam has some pretty impressive moves, and both he and Rey Mysterio are good with their legs. The "blind" referee is also pretty funny in this one. *** 2) Torrie Wilson vs. Dawn Marie. OK, this match is a little clumsy, but Torrie looks really great and both ladies apply at least one good hold each. **1/2 3) Scotty 2 Hotty vs. Mordecai. A brief and almost totally one-sided match. Mordecai has potential, but Scotty should change his name to Not-So-Hotty. *1/2 4) Rico and Charlie Haas vs. Hardcore Holly and Billy Gunn. HH is not bad, but this match offers little more than some lame "gay" antics courtesy of Rico. *5) Jacqueline vs. Chavo Guerrero. A half-hearted attempt at a mixed match, with Chavo wrestling (initially) with one hand tied up behind his back. In my opinion, if they thought Jacqueline was up for a mixed match, they should have made it a regular one. If they thought she wasn't, they should have skipped it altogether. **6) John Cena vs. Rene Dupree. The setup is too long, and the payoff is not worth it. A forgettable match. *1/2 7) The Undertaker vs. Booker T. The supposed "big event" of the night is a "big letdown". The introduction of The Undertaker is long and not very scary if you're over 3 years old, and in general this is one of those matches where the fakeness is just too obvious. *1/2 8) Eddie Guerrero vs. John Bradshaw. Those who prefer no-rules streetfighting over actual wrestling, will probably enjoy this surprisingly bloody battle. For the rest of us, there are some good ground holds, executed mostly by Bradshaw. **1/2There is also A LOT of filler between the matches, but you should be used to that by now.
wrestlingsitewebmaster By god, just like The Great American Bash 2 months later, this sucked.Match 1 saw Rey Mysterio and RVD taking on The Dudley Boyz in a good match. Although I can't help thinking that RVD should not be in the first match of a PPV. The next match saw Torrie Wilson defeating Dawn Marie. This was crap, and the feud is still going on now! and as I am writing this, it's July 2005! Then Mordecai takes on Scotty 2 Hotty in a crap match. Mordecai sucks, and Scotty isn't far behind him. Next up two waste of space wrestlers Hardcore Holly and Billy Gunn take on Rico and Charlie Haas in a comical match, but no one cared. Haas and Rico win. Then Chavo Guerrero tried to defeat Jacqueline for the Cruiswerweight title! No not Akio, Shannon Moore or Paul London not even Funaki but Jacqueline! No one cared, and I bet yer Spanky was glad when he left when he did! Next up one of the worst technical wrestlers on the roster John Cena takes on Rene Dupree in a crap match. This was the same for Taker vs Booker T just forgettable. Booker sucks as a heel. Then JBL took on WWE champion Eddie Guerrero in a fair match. One interesting note is that Bradshaw decked Eddie with a chair shot and he poured blood everywhere. Backstage Eddie lost so much blood that he went into shock and had to be rushed to hospital. JBL wins by DQ.Not good!
davidpenzer Compared to Backlash last month, SmackDown's Judgment Day looks like crap. Well without comparing it, it still looks pretty weak. A mediocre event with few highlights.Match 1: Rey Mysterio & Rob Van Dam vs. The Dudley Boys.RVD has been one of the most popular WWE wrestlers for years, but WWE keeps using him in opening matches. Rey and RVD are fun to watch, solid match to open the show. The faces win after a Five Star Frogsplash from RVD.Match Rating: 3/5Booker T is interviewed backstage. He sucks as a heel.Kurt Angle comes out in a wheelchair and trashes Los Angeles for some cheap heat. Then he decides that Torrie will be fired if she loses against Dawn Marie tonight. Oh no... will the great career of Torrie Wilson come to an end?Match 2: Torrie vs. Dawn MarieMy God Dawn is hot! But the match is not. Biggest pop of the night comes when Dawn loses her pants and her ass is fully exposed for about one minute! Sometimes you just have to love WWE. Thankfully The Pervert (aka Jerry Lawler) isn't announcing. Torrie wins (if anyone cares).Match Rating: 1/5 Bradshaw interview. Funny as hell. One of the best heel speeches in a long time.Match 3: Scotty 2 Hotty vs. Mordecai.Very short debut of Mordecai. His music and clothes have much in common with Undertaker's. He don't get much time but he seems to have potential. Thank God he sells Scotty's offense, we've had enough of no-selling monsters. Mordecai wins via a Crucifix bomb, also known as the Outsiders Edge. Is it that difficult to come up with new finishers?Match Rating 2/5Match 4: Haas & Rico vs. Gunn & Holly. WWE Tag Team Championship. They don't have much time to wrestle because of all the gay references. Still I enjoy this match. Rico is entertaining and Gunn and Holly work much better in tag teams. Highlight: A nice dropkick from Holly. Holly later goes for the Alabama slam on Haas but Rico gives him a superkick. Haas counters and gets the pinfall. A good tag team match, we don't see that too often.Match Rating: 3/5Undertaker and Paul Bearer backstage. Bearer sounds weird as usual. Nostalgic moments here. Match 5: Chavo vs. Jacqueline. Cruiserweight Championship.Jacqueline is a hottie, can't believe she's past 40. Chavo wrestles with one hand tied behind his back, so the hopes for a good match went out the window. If there ever was any. Jacqueline has the advantage, but Chavo Sr unties Chavo when the referee is distracted (really unexpected...) and Chavo then destroys Jacqueline with both hands free. Charles Robinson was distracted for about one minute, I think he missed half of the match. Why not just disqualify Chavo?Good work, WWE, you have successfully buried what was left of the Cruiserweight Title. To give the belt to a woman (who should be on Raw instead), to have screwjob endings in each match and to focus on story lines over actual matches proves the fact that WWE cares absolutely nothing about cruiserweight wrestling. Fans want spectacular high-flying moves dammit, not this sh*t. What is wrong with Vince McMahon and this awful booking? Chavo regains the title, but this feud has made him look incredibly weak.Match Rating: 1/5A promo for WrestleMania 21 and then a VERY long and boring promo for the match between Cena and Dupree. Too bad I tuned in for wrestling and not promos.Match 6: Dupree vs. Cena. US Championship.Cena continues to kiss the asses of the fans with his lame rhymes. In my opinion he has got stale as a face already. The match is a little slow, like it never really gets underway. Dupree shows some nice moves, but in the end Cena pins him after an F-U. OK match, but the finish was good. I was hoping for Dupree to win though.Match Rating: 3/5We look at some more promos. Too bad I tuned in for wrestling and not promos!Match 7: Undertaker vs. Booker TMichael Cole: 'It is often debated, the question of whether The Undertaker is alive or dead'. Oh c'mon Cole, get back to the real world... Usual Undertaker stuff here. Great entrance, some no-selling, Tombstone piledriver and a clean victory. Booker is never even close. He deserves much better than this, no matter how popular Undertaker is. Match was not really good, not really bad, just average.Match Rating: 2/5We take ANOTHER look at promos. This time for the Eddie and Bradshaw match. Let's have an entire p.p.v. with only promos. That would win the ratings for sure.Match 8: Eddie vs. Bradshaw. WWE ChampionshipBradshaw impresses me. I thought he would be awful but he is actually descent. Instead it is the old title match clichés that ruin what could've been a good match. Bradshaw wins by DQ (what an awesome finish to a main event), but Eddie beats the crap out of him afterward. I don't know for how long though because I finally fell asleep...Match Rating: 2/5The Good: The Haas & Rico vs. Gunn & Holly match had some nice moments. The opener and the main event were watchable too. No awful matches. The Bad: The whole event suffered from crappy booking. There is so much on Smackdown that annoys me: Booker's heel turn, Undertaker's lame gimmick, the weak tag and cruiserweight division, the amount of underused talent... I could go on forever. This was a weak p.p.v and I am kind with the rating here.Judgment Day Rating: 2/5
