Hayden Kane There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
Lachlan Coulson This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.
anthonydelaluz Trade reviewA Movie That Shows Worldwide ProblemsI thought the movie was good, because a girl gets trafficked and her brother goes out to save her. The acting in the movie was decent because in a scene where Veronica (Alicja Bachleda-Curus) is raped, she didn't struggle as much as someone would in real life. Also in real life, when Jorge (Cesar Ramos) told Ray (Kevin Kline) that his sister had been sold, I don't think that he would help him. Ray told Jorge that he was taking him back and in real life they police would take him back. The police wouldn't care about his sister who had been sold. Also in a scene when they are in the town and the men take Adriana, (Paulina Gaitan) and Veronica, people would have noticed because in the movie nobody notices anything. Overall the movie was good. Even though it didn't have any big actors in the movie besides Kevin Kline, the other actors showed some good acting skills. The directors took their time to find them. Like any other movie, it has its flaws like when Adriana and Veronica escape they didn't do a job because they get recaptured. Also when Jorge finds them and they stop and see's Manuelo ( Marco Perez) taking pictures of his sister Adriana Jorge could have stopped Manuelo and help the people that were captured. But the movie also shows that human trafficking is a big problem in real life and it's all over the world.Spoiler alert
williamjewell-94205 Movie SummaryI recently saw the movie Trade, and I thought this movie was pretty good. It shows people what is happening in the this world today with all the human trafficking. This movie has great actors who made the movie very believable. Jorge ( Cesar Ramos) plays as a young boy who is looking for his sister in Mexico was kidnapped by human traffickers. Ray Sheridan (Kevin Kline) plays as a protective cop that is also looking for someone close in Mexico, then stumbles on Ramos and they both gang up to find the young boy's sister. They travel all over the place in Mexico and in America to try to find the young girl named Adriana ( Paulina Gaitán). They found a lot of clues that helped them with their mission of finding the people who kidnapped the young boy's (Cesar Ramos) sister Adriana so they can bring her back home. This movie turns out to be an eye opener into the human trafficking trade. The things I didn't like about the movie was the language. I don't mind the language, because of the young kids they may watch this. The part about this movie that I didn't understand was why didn't the detective, Ray Sheridan finish looking for what he was looking for at the beginning of the movie? Overall that's the two things I didn't like or understand about this movie. The rest of the movie was great. This was probably not one of the best movies I've seen in awhile.
josephjohnson-12647 The film Trade is a great film. It was filmed in 2007. The movie can sometimes get intense, but it helps get the point of the film across to how terrible it is for these girls that are kidnapped and sold into human trafficking. This film will really open up your mind about human trafficking and how terrible these people are treated. The film started with Jorge (Cesar Ramos) getting his sister, Adriana (Paulina Gaitan), a bicycle without their mom's approval. When Adriana left the house without her mothers permission to ride her bicycle. She was kidnapped by human traffickers while she was out riding her bike. Her brother Jorge went looking for her. He met up with Texas police officer Ray Sheridan (Kevin Klein) who had previously had his daughter sold into human trafficking. The two searched for Adriana and their search eventually led them to New Jersey. This film can create many different emotions throughout it. The film will leave an impression on a someone such as just wondering how a person could lock another human in a room and not let them out and sell them for sex? Or how could someone actually buy another human being? The film Trade is definitely worth watching. Trade is a film that can open up the mind of a person. It helps the viewer realize that human trafficking does really occur in this world. Most people don't understand that people are still really bought and sold in our world today. I didn't know this until we started researching human trafficking in my senior English class in high school. When we watched Trade, every one of us were surprised to see to see this really happens to people. The film Trade is definitely worth watching.
patbradley435 A movie isn't as good as its beginning; it's a sum of its middle and end also. This is where the film falls apart. It's too simplistic and unengaging. The part were the young girl and her older friend escape is not too well done. They're in a busy, busy place with police in the crowd, but they're still apprehended again without too much trouble - by the same two guys who let them escape whilst taking a leak together when the girls absconded!!! Bad dialogue also exists, especially between Kline and Ramos (Ray and Jorge) with Ramos stealing the show. Now the end is totally Americano and sugary. Just wait and see. It almost defies belief and will have you muttering under your breath many well earned expletives, especially towards its director, Marco Kreuzpaintner, who lacks much in the way of building tension and suspense. The very final scene is just plain stupid. The film gains many excellent reviews on here, which doesn't surprise me. It's not dire, but comes pretty close. This for me, is an exercise in how not to make a well structured piece of film.I was feeling kind when I gave it 5/10.
