UnowPriceless hyped garbage
Platicsco Good story, Not enough for a whole film
Huievest Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.
Senteur As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
vizmofilms Kids loved it. Some of the adult actors were not so good. Most of the kids were believable. Locations were good. Shot in Indiana Has a bear in it that may be scary to some small children. Best to watch with parentsMy kids want to bulid a raft and float down the creek. This was an independent film that the producer's daughter starred in.She did a good job. Special effects were good especially the "HAl 9000" I liked the message of the film. Faith Truth and Couorage.I recommend this film for any school age children. Very good family film.
pmgproducer We watched Lil River Rats last weekend and it was a great movie. My kids 10 and 8 love the movie and thought it was like a movie on the Disney Channel. The boat, river and bear were all very cool and it really looked like a Hollywood movie rather than an independent film. The end of the movie was very suspenseful. There was a lot of work that went into this film and I think it was shot on location in Indiana. We saw the first movie from this filmmaker 587 The Great Train Robbery and it was excellent too. I thought the kid that had the Hal 9000 computer was pretty funny. The water balloon fight was funny too. I wonder how they controlled the helicopters to drop the balloons. The story flowed along very well and all the kids did a great job acting. The sound effects and music were also done very well and added to the movie viewing experience.
pjohnsonfamily My son got me out of bed on Sunday to watch this with him on cable. He had seen it before and wanted me to watch it with him again. I sat down with him and we watched this together, it was a real treat! It was on early on cable before we went to church, it had a good theme for kids, and parents. It was something we could do together. It was a fun family film. Good scenery, and funny parts through out. I liked the kids in the movie and so did he. The bear scenes were funny and scary to him. But the message of the movie he got. He wants to build a raft now. And go looking for treasure, but we don't live near a river so it's the pool in the backyard. I would recommend this movie to any family.
dadtwo We watched this movie as a family on Showtime and really enjoyed it. My kids, especially my daughter (8) has watched it four times since, getting up early to watch it. To get her out of bed early is something during the summer...And as a parent I like the message of the film, faith, truth and courage. It's hard to find good things for my kids to consume on TV but this is an exception It's a throw back to the Huck Finn lazy days of summer. The scenery is great and the raft the kids float down river,I wish I had made when I was a kid.I recommend it!
